Nice. Hes very versatile, expect decent stuff from him this year.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

He probably has 1 more move up his sleeve.

I was thinking that too but aside from trading brown I don’t see how? And if we’re trading brown it would have to be for a PF right? Who can we realistically pry for brown and picks that is better than just keeping those assets I wonder.

Seems like a good dude, too. I think they really put a premium on character this year, after that disaster last year.

TBH, Theis is realistically the PF. He makes our depth chart make a LOT more sense to me.

Turgon wrote:I don't get this obsession with cutting Theis. By all accounts everybody loves him, he's been nothing but great here and he's been paid the minimum.

Yes, he had some problems last season. He also came from a nasty knee injury but I guess if your name isn't Kyrie or Hayward nobody cares.

He's our ONLY big that can shoot. Not the only one that can shoot well. The only one who can shoot, period. In Brad's system you need guys like him to spread the floor. He's also a better defender than Poirier.

I hope we can keep him here at something like 1.5 million, which I think is the minimum he can earn. You guys wanna get rid of someone? Try Yabusele, who's getting paid twice as much.

As someone previously noted, Theis could play PF, a role he is more suited for. I would like to see that happen. Right now, in addition to Theis, we have Tatum, GWill, Semi, and Yabs that can fill the PF role. Theis put up better numbers than Semi and Yabs last year. I would like to keep Semi and give him more minutes this year. Between Yabs and Theis, I think Theis is the clear choice.

And why not? I get having a superstar (and Kemba isn't too far) wins chips, but dammit if last year wasn't abysmal. Just give me a fun team again.

Williams still a project.

Kanter/Theis/Porier will be the C rotation.

Does this affect Zoyas master plan?

The Sixers will be paying their center rotation -- Horford, Embiid, O'Quinn -- $57.5 million next season.
The Celtics will be paying their center rotation -- Kanter, Poirier, Williams -- $8.3 million next season.

I mean, Smart/JB/Yabu/Semi griz pick, bucks pick for Beal would be a world shocker. Who knows.

Nope. Not at all.
We can sign Theis using Bird Rights. After our other shenanigans. If there are other shenanigans.

True. No headcases. Kanter is kinda crazy but for the mkst part in a good way. This move also means Morris is gone ans Semi might take his role which is awesome.

I’d even include some tacos for that deal.

Really hope to see Theis bounce back from that surgery. he struggled with quick twitch reaction and mobility on defense last year
