So 22 teams would have had at least 7 months rest since NBA was suspended in March.

**** the other 8 teams including my Celtics. Let's get the season started already! lol

Most of those teams don't put out an entertaining product anyway! All those players got paid something, millions of people in the country have been out of work just as long and many of them without pay. I don't know if it's still true, but dont the players that make the lowest NBA contract per year make more than the highest paid WNBA player per year? It's sad that they will not make as much as they could have, I believe players deserve every dime they can get, but struggling like the rest of the country is hard to feel too bad about (in comparison). No one should be struggling anyway, but... never mind let me shut up. FDT

I meant "played", not "payed" sorry.

I think that the NBA should keep the Season starting in late December. Stay out of the way of the NFL.
Maximize profits. And keep the Sports Entertainment going all year round.

The thing is, if they start later, then it means they end later. And knowing this generation of coddled players, they will whine about not having the summer off. And when the league tries to meet them in the middle and say they will compress the schedule to allow it to end in June, they will then whine about having to play in too many back-to-backs. Lol

So, Rookies are going to get picked on Nov. 18, and be active to play in an NBA game, on Dec. 22.

Older guys may get some traction this season, teams will probably be looking for guys who they want to throw in right away and contribute. Guys who would have been overlooked if this was past seasons may get picked now and not become an UFA. I guess that would mean some guys who need a lot more time to develop could be overlooked.

What's the delay in determining the opt-in deadline?

EDIT: This is what's known so far.
