Same and he sucked all of the last year except for 1.5 playoff rounds that this team isn't getting to anyways.

Rondo **** sucks and signing him is a mistake for any team that doesn't have LeBron to keep that little bitch in line.

I don't get all the Rondo hate. He was amazing when he was here. He didn't force his way out, we wanted to rebuild and traded him. People have said hes not good anymore for years but he just won a title and was probably the 3rd best player on the team in the finals. I've never understood the hate.

For salary-matching purposes, yes. But to avoid the tax, no. If avoiding the tax is even a thing. Maybe they just don't care about the tax this season (and the repeater tax penalties that will likely come with it in 2022).

Read on Twitter

Smitty understands.

Will Magnay and Shaq Harrison FTW!

(We already have a commitment from Anthony Davis to sign for the minimum.)

Indy has no leverage. Hayward has no leverage. Boston has no leverage.

This is 3 people, operating in good faith, where there really isnt a deal. Someone is going to have to make a bad deal to get this done.

There is no deal here IMO unless you can convince Boston that turner is a positive asset that will improve the Team materially.

Or

Have Indiana give up a budding high end scorer

Or

Hayward takes a massive pay cut to sign with Indy.

I get that but where have we seen publicly it’s a must to avoid the tax this year? I know it gets harder to avoid moving forward so this would be the year to avoid it but still we are just assuming that

It’s literally this simple: Ainge looks like a God if it’s a good deal with Indiana and he royally screwed up if Boston gets nothing out of this. He’s let a ton of high-value FA’s walk because he’s focusing on the Hayward situation. I can’t imagine he wouldn’t keep focusing on a deal with Indiana if something good doesn’t come from it, but we will see

If u get oladipo back and can build up his value he’s movable by the deadline for sure. If he is 85% of what he was he’s a solid addition. Ainge loves getting guys on the low
