I think he also has a DUI or two on record. I know most of the board has already expressed how little the care about the fidelity of professional athletes after the Paul Pierce livestream incident, but Kidd's domestic abuse history is what I meant, sorry if I didn't communicate that clearly.

So he did plead guilty to hitting his wife and he's still in the NBA? Dang, no idea how he managed to slide with it.
Good assessment:

"But Stevens’s departure from coaching after eight seasons did create a massive opening. He is expected to conduct a series of interviews in the coming days, and the belief within the organization is that the Celtics initially will seek a former NBA player who will command the respect of the players from the start."

So teams can't talk to Billups but "surprisingly" he is going to Portland. Adam Silver's rules are a joke.

Someone that has won it all, and knows how hard it is to win. That coach is what this team needs. Cassell and Billups for me. At the end of the day, our next coach, is what tatum, smart and brown wants. I think under the scene, they have a lot of say on who our next coach would be.

Don't know why but I never really liked his style.

He's riding yianis stardom at the moment not really showing anything good I think.

Might just hate his face though

damn, he is/was my first choice. Wish he could wait. I see a better future as a coach with a younger star and talent on Boston than Por which is the definition of a treadmill team.

Teams can speak to coaches (or assistant coaches) as long as they have permission from the other team. This is a very common practice in the league.

I'm not advocating Budenholzer at all. So far the Nets have absolutely embarrassed the Bucks. If it continues, he's gone. It's just the latest example of how his teams are good in the regular season but don't win in the playoffs.

I'd rather have Cassell. He's put in a lot of years as an assistant and is also a former player and also isn't possibly a rapist.

Does anyone else have the sense that the head coaching decision has already been made and they are just waiting for the playoffs to be over (suggesting the replacement is on the staff of a current playoff team)? If Brad and Danny have been planning this for months, Brad must at least already have a strong idea of who he wants to go with.

With Bud possibly on the way out, we should hurry up because the Bucks job is better than ours if it opens up.

I keep leaning on these guys are snake oil salesman because one minute they talked about CBS moving up all the time, next Danny gave a list that didn't include CBS, then it was all CBS and Wyc, then Danny said CBS was born for this.

So the next coach will be...

Let's try to sign Kara Lawson and start building the team for next season.
