Re: Shout out to Grant Williams
Nice to see a likable, young man with a lot of character achieve at such an effective, versatile level in the NBA.
He is bright, communicative and very much a glue guy for the team off-court as well as on-court. When he first came up, there were lots of stories about his ability to navigate relationships and how affable and we’ll-liked he was with teammates, coaches and staff in general.
He got accepted to Harvard and Yale and chose Tennessee to stay home. Got his Bachelors in 3 years. Jaylens a bright guy. Grant is equally so, if not brighter.
Great to see his hard work on his body and craft pay off.

I wouldn't say Jaylen is bright. He tries to look brighter than he actually is. That's not a knock on him, he's my favourite player now that Hayward's gone. But I feel Grant is really really intelligent, in most of the facets in life.
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

Re: Shout out to Grant Williams
I really really really want Grant to finish with a 40-50-90. Joining the who's who of all time shooters.
That and a lesson for all those who say "insert whatever player" can't shoot, he sucks" based on early career productions.
From Mr. 0-25 to Mr. 50-40-90 club member.
Grant Williams will be the example for future generations of Basketball players who may be in the same boat.

He always keeps things light and fun! Just an awesome guy for team chemistry/camaraderie/locker room presence.
While at the same time, doing an excellent job of accepting his role and performing his role on the court.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Re: Shout out to Grant Williams
Grant's Twitter feed is full of shout-outs. Most of the targets are obvious: Celtics players, ex-Celtic players, Tennessee basketball, fellow Player Association exec, etc. The most recent I saw is for the coach at Yale, and we know Grant almost went there. (At least, that's where his mother wanted him to go.)
Some, however, are harder to pin down. Family relationship? Pure fandom?

Even with his recent slump, Grant is one of only two NBA players shooting 48/40/90 this season. The other guy can certainly make shots but don't like getting shots so he's only played in 19 games so far.

He'd probably have to shoot >60% the rest of the way to finish at 50/40/90. That sounds tough.
Another way to look at it is that he's about 7 makes shy of 50%. So if he has a 14-14 stretch and shoots 50% otherwise, he's in.

Love Grant but I don't agree with some of his comparisons though. Smart should be Wolverine, while Pritchard is Hawkeye. And what's his basis for comparing himself to Spiderman???

I agree that Al as Captain America, Jaylen as Black Panther, and Rob as Thor (for bringing the thunder with his dunks) are simply perfect. Not sure about Tatum as Vision though, but it fits.
All in all, Grant's a big geek lol

I hate this superhero stuff right now. Going 4-0 on a road tip is awesome but it’s not like winning a title. Coach needs to dial it down immediately.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Ya I'm not a fan of vision can we give Tatum Iron Man instead. Iron Man is way cooler and it is fitting considering how much Tatum plays.
Anyways big props to Grant from going from cant williams to batman. Big upgrade

You must be fun at parties. Batman was a play on words after defending Jokic, not implying they're playing like superheroes. C'mon...
