Agree with all of this, but I think he kind of always plays with that frenetic energy — it’s not something he “saves up” for the Celtics, but rather how he’s stuck in the league.

I reckon the C's could show up drunk and high and still win this series in 5

KP averaged 22/8/2 on 45/41/81 splits in four games vs. DAL/DEN/MIN.
KP averaged 18/6/2 on 50/46/93 splits in nine games vs. NYK/IND.

I can't remember why but KP only averaged 25.6 mpg in 4 games vs. the Pacers. 12.8/6.5./2.8/1.3 on 41/29/88 splits. 54.9% TS%. Numbers weren't great. Indy defense not that good anyway. And there are still matchups we can exploit with our healthy bodies. Would love to see us raise our defensive intensity/effort vs. this run-and-gun team. We'll miss KP's rim protection as Pacers love to get their points in the paint (#1 in RS, #2 in POs).

Had to look it up lol - the 3rd Indy game was the eye injury game where he had to leave after 6 minutes.

So the first game was a massive blowout in the 4th game of the season Boston won. Second game I believe was the IS tourney loss with no KP. Then they won the game he left early and then they lost a 2 point game with KP the next game.

So at the risk of creating a jinx they were a +56 over four games with an overall 2-2 record, 1-1 with KP playing a full game.

The 1-1 with KP also includes the loss with the bad foul call where JB got hit in the head everyone remembers. Less remembered is JT took that game off for rest. So overall 3-2 but the IS tourney was with no KP and the other loss was with no JT. The No JT game was terrible defense as we gave up 130+ even while Hali missed the second half. Defensive intensity throughout and we should win in 5 or less. Offense will take care of itself bc Indy can’t defend a full 48 themselves. Mess around and let Indy get going though and it could go 6 or 7. Even with messing around I still don’t see how we lose the series. We have every advantage.

I don't usually root for the Celtics, but I hope you beat the Pacers by 40 pts, every game. Easy 4-0 victory. Pacers deserve some Ls after playing two injury riddled teams to get this far.
