Right. I don’t get it.

Instead of minott isn’t the question, why he has been in there, I can better answer.

Believe it or not, he’s been good without scoring. He was in there defending George adequately. He is a good defender this season whenever I’m watching him. The stat lovers may disagree, who knows, but Rico has been good on D more times than not this season. Plenty of good offenders have tried him and he’s held up. He’s also a good/smart ball mover.

You know he isn’t playing poorly because Joe keeps sending him out there. He had almost no stats except 1rb and 1tov and he still played nearly 12m. This tells you to look beyond the stats, imo, but you don’t have to.

You are right Rico has been decent. My Impression is Minott has been better though.
Seems like we are sticking with Hauser through think and thin as well. Joe is surely a better coach than me so will trust him….for now ;)

IMO it's because Minott is the one out of the four (Walsh/Hugo/Scheierman) that is most easily dislodged and sets the weakest screens. Garza is back in favor, for now, which also curtails opportunities with fewer small lineups. Minott is the toughest offensive fit, especially if they aren't giving him the Hauser treatment as a shooter.

Somewhat related, the current push from the media is to get Walsh out of the starting lineup. While I DO think Gonzalez will make the starting lineup next year when Tatum is back and fully activated, both guys are scorers of last resort. Jordan needs to foul less, foe sure. But the starting lineup struggles are more to due with surprisingly below average 3pt shooting from Pritchard and White than anything.
