The problem with this is, that's exactly how Danny drafts. He just loves those undersized PGs, PFs and Centers.

Yeah, Ainge loves undersized players who can't shot or have a flawed athleticism and wingspan to make up their size, It's insane how many picks he has wasted selecting terrible player profiles.

Can we draft Tyler Herro this year or is it too late?

To be fair he might have hit one in Timelord last year, but he is still 6 foot 8 at best.

Smh. I hate the draft.

Anybody have a list of PGs 6 feet and below and PFs 6'6' and below? I think we should watch out for those guys. I'm only half kidding, btw.

Might have to talk to Timelord.

Timelord is like 6'9 with insane wingspan and athleticism, in other words he doesn't fit with the profiles I said.

That what I am saying as well, although I still see him being listed at 2.03m or 6'8", but I digress. Timelord was a hit by Ainge, not a miss. He's still small (height wise) for a center though, but his wingspan and athleticism more than make up for it.

I do wonder what our plans are for Waters and Edwards.. Watching IT struggle a few years ago, Kemba struggle this year.. Kyrie had his struggles last year.. Guys like Lou Will struggled also.. Idk why Ainge still drafts these guys. Unless dude is **** Allen Iverson we should stand clear from them.

I would love some 6'6" bigs like Grant Williams. Give me a Grant Williams every draft at pick 22. I'd say this is an archetype he drafts well. Who was the last one, Ryan Gomes? He hasn't drafted a short guard in the first round outside of Rozier and Bradley, who were good picks. And under 6 feet I doubt anyone inside the first 50 picks besides Edwards. And he has a 6'6" wingspan which is fine. I don't think height will necessarily be why he fails. He has a potential elite skill in his shooting and scoring ability, not sure how many players drafted after him have an elite potential skill besides Bol Bol, who has played like 300 minutes since high school.

Ainge could certainly draft better, but he usually makes sure to have extra picks and really hasn't failed a draft since 2008, where the highest pick was 30.

Oh wait, I forgot about Kadeem Allen, he was pretty short. Should have taken Jaron Blossomgame instead, never gonna live that one down.

How does everyone have these insane expectations that you're going to get great players in the second round? If you draft at 51 you aren't usually getting a useful player. Maybe once every decade.

Apparently not only is he 6'3" he also gained like 20 lbs. He's going to get serious looks in the lottery

Feels like we are looking at:

Patrick Williams
Kira Lewis
Saddiq Bey
Aaron Nesmith
Precious Achiuwa
Cole Anthony
Tyrese Maxey
Tyrell Terry

Anybody else would be a surprising rise or drop at 14. Still, there is a lot of talent there.

I think the best shooter in this draft is Desmond Bane.

Please no to Aaron Nesmith but I'm confident he won't be the pick anyways since he adds nothing to the game other than spot up shooting.

If you want a spot up shooter go for Bane at 26 or 30

I have a sense we're going to move up to draft Haliburton. But if we stay those are guys in our range..

From JackieMac via Bill Simmons podcast:

"It was interesting that [LaMelo] Ball was in Boston. Someone saw... someone from the Lawrence Eagle Tribune somehow saw him. He was in Boston... and the word on the street was that he was working out for the Celtics. Or was visiting with the Celtics. I don't know what to make of that. It's not my report. Some eagle eye from the Lawrence Eagle Tribune found out about that. I thought that was interesting."

It just all seems so weird to me, unless we are making a move for GSWs pick.

I just am not sure the fit of Ball here.

I mean, I think Haliburton and Jaylen Smith are far better scores in this draft for the Celtics.

This was debunked as he was apparently there for a shoe deal.
He was there during a period where NBA teams could not meet with prospects.
