Re: Official Celtics 2020-21 Regular Season Thread
Given the Eastern Conference is all bunched up 4 to 10 with all of those teams around .500 the Celtics could easily be the 4th seed. And it is not out of the question we win at least one round of the playoffs. It also is not out of the question for us to end up with say the 7th worst record and a chance to move up in the lottery.
This season feels like such a let down that the later scenario seems what we deserve. Yet the mediocrity of the East can save us. Which one is better for us? A wake up call with us being a few games under .500 or a positive ending where we win a playoff series and make a real show of us it in the next round perhaps pulling an upset?

I think that we'll fight our way to 4th place.
Would be nice to get back to the ECF. IDK though.

I swear there were multiple people who think John Wall is better than Kemba Walker.

John Wall is better than Kemba.
Wall is not a liability on defense.
The problem is Wall's contract is worse than Kemba's.

Oh so you're one of the people who hasn't watched John Wall or Kemba Walker this year. I'll add you to the list.
If you could kindly explain how John Wall is better than Kemba Walker, I would gladly remove you from the list. Given your single comment about Wall, I suspect you will remain on the list, though.

Re: Official Celtics 2020-21 Regular Season Thread
A lot of Bench players came out from behind other players, who look to have been holding them back.
Rob Williams made Thompson look expendable.
G. Williams made a case to come up the Depth Chart.
Pritchard, unencumbered by Teague.
Even Nesmith had a clear path.
Wagner also made a case for minutes, as a 3rd Center who can shoot the 3.

1. John Wall is the better defender.
2. Wall is the better passer.
3. Wall is better getting to the rim and finishing.
The only advantage Kemba has over John Wall is 3-point shooting.

Sure he's a better passer, but it doesn't mean anything. He's terrible. No shot you actually think he's a better defender. Maybe five years ago.

Re: Official Celtics 2020-21 Regular Season Thread
So the celtics have 17 players under contract on thier roster.
Of those 17, 5 are out for tonight's game.
Of the remaining 12, two are deep bench centers we just acquired at the deadline.
Of the remaining 10, two are G-league guys.
Of the remaining 8, two are rookie scale guys who have each been dnp'd around half the teams games this year (Nesmith has played 23, Edwards has played 17)
Of the remaining 6, three are rookie scale rotation players with a grand total of eight starts this year (GWill has 6, Pritchard and Timelord each have 1)
The last three are Brown, Tatum, Smart.

Every society on this planet has some extent of prejudice. Be it a modern western, a modern eastern, or a traditional society on any continent or island group. All societies are naturally suspicious of outsiders be it a country, kingdom, tribe or clan. Traditional societies in the New Guinea highlands, the Amazon basin, Africa and South Asia, can be as "prejudice" as any other society. Great OT topic btw. Jared Diamond is one of my favorite writers ("Guns, Germs and Steel", "Collapse", and "The Third Chimpanzee").

How are black people outsiders? We were not only here BEFORE the Spaniards (before the Vikings too), we were on the Niña, Pinta and SM with them! If anyone is an outsider it's Europeans! I wish this wasn't a message board about the Celtics because I really want to go in. Can't have real conversations about anything like this here (not wrong necessarily but annoying)! People are prejudice, that's true and fine but it's when you use that prejudice to harm other people that's the problem!
I honestly don't know why that was the thing you thought to write about in response to that video. W/e, do you!

We were first before this, they just keep piling on. What next, the few fans that are allowed will shut the facility down because they have to scrub it down after finding out one person got COVID the day before the game but couldn't detect it at the time.
