Here is a article that mentions Dunn, Poeltl, and D.Davis as the two way prospects in the draft:

While I can't find a link, it's being reported that freshly released Las Vegas odds, from one of the biggest Sportsbooks in the world, has the Nets with the longest odds of all 30 teams to win the 2016-2017 NBA Championship (500-1). This means they could be among the worst teams in the league next year, if not the worst. These Sportsbooks futures odds have been incredibly accurate at projecting this stuff. See tweet.

While I'd love to simply hang onto this pick next year, I can't help but wonder if #3 this year + next year's Nets pick isn't enough to nail Butler. Next year's draft is supposed to be loaded at the top.

Again, I think I'd rather keep it, but there are lots of possibilities here. That pick next year has enormous value.

I am liking M.Chriss offensive skillset. He is one of those talents that will be either be elite or a bust. If we get another top 3 pick next year I say we keep it since it is a top heavy draft and I prefer drafting a talented than trading for one.

Whoever gets Felder will be getting a very solid player. There comes a point where skill makes up for size

How do you guys feel about trading Smart and drafting Kris Dunn?

Good idea in theory, poor idea in practice IMO. Due to Smarts poor shooting numbers, the likelihood of getting sufficient value in return is quite low. He's more valueable to the Celtics than he'd net in a trade. Therefore they would be better off keeping smart and rolling the dice on Bender or Brown or moving the pick itself

I like Dunn a lot, but I think Dunn is a risk and Smart is a known quantity. Pick 3 might get more than Smart would in a trade. I'd rather keep Smart - he's bigger and leadership intangibles are legit.

Henry Ellenson looks to me like a slightly shorter version of Olynyk. Certainly Ellenson will struggle on defense in the NBA, as Olynyk does.

At quick glance, Ellenson strikes me as a slightly less talented, slightly better conditioned version of Sully. I don't mind him at 16 per se, but I expect that there will be others on the board whom I like more.

If we can get him with 34, I believe is what we have, it'd be fantastic. :D I'm a fan, I wrote it several times, we could have a great 2nd round, if we don't trade the picks. Maker + Onuaku?
Good assessment:

In a recent Jake Layman newspaper story, he said he was going to play the game like Gordon Hayward, could guard four NBA positions, and in 5 years time be an All-Star. Certainly worth a second rounder, if someone doesn't get him in the first.

Bender will be in Boston in 10 to 14 days.

Just for fun, 8 Celtics picks from my mock draft.

Dragan Bender
Diamond Stone
Zhou Qi
Jake Layman
Cheick Diallo
Georgios Papagiannis
Kyle Wiltjer
Marshall Plumlee

Half those players would be overseas next year, or they could find a Euro center to promise with the Dallas pick instead of Stone if Zhou was coming over right away. Six huge bodies for the paint, a couple of small forwards with outside shooting, all the needs are addressed. Possibly, Bender could be on the floor with Stone and Zhou in the future, as the foreign two have some shooting range. Stone gives Boston an Al Jefferson player in the paint. Maybe Diallo gets into the first round, doesn't matter as the early two second rounders will have lots of good available options, maybe pick 45 too.

Now the 8 Celtics picks and a second idea for the spot.

Jamal Murray
Ivica Zubac
Damian Jones
Caris LeVert
Jarrod Uthoff
Perry Ellis
Mamadou Ndiaye
Tim Quarterman

Of course I didn't do trades, like most hope and think Ainge will, but here are 8 picks, and 8 alternatives to them, that help the team where it needs it.

Heres a link to a new video of Poeltl. Don Mclean has really improved his jump shot and handle.

Ha. I found Onuaku by sorting the DX 2016 prospect database for steals and blocks. Should have known then that a Dean piece was incoming.

Also Valentine crushing BPM is just one more reason for me to quintuple down on my Valentine or bust mantra.

Well, he signed with Andy Miller so its not out of the question, but a second round promise is more likely.

He'd be a perfect fit for the Nets or Knicks; he's a local kid from Coney Island who played at Abraham Lincoln, as did Stephon Marbury and Sebastian Telfair. Unfortunately, neither of the NY teams have an picks until Brooklyn picks at #55 (they traded swap rights to the Clips who will pick in Brooklyn's slot at #33).
