Kawhi Update Thread for 3!!!

Ideally for the Celtics would be to trade Hayward, who might be a redundant piece on this team with the emergence of Brown and Tatum.

They'd get rid of one $30 million plus salary and would be easier to absorb KL into the salary cap.

But of course Spurs wouldn't go for it and even if they would, Celtics would gain a bad rep for loyalty to players to trade IT and Hayward in consecutive years -- get injured, Celtics will dispose of you rather than pay you, no matter what loyalty you may have shown to the team and its fans.

I've always wondered. We have hundreds and hundreds of posters who post here. Probably many thousands over the years. Actuarially speaking, a bunch of posters must have died by now, and we'll never know. They just stop posting one day and that's it.

i don't think brown will ever get near to where leonard is at. leonard is a naturally gifted elite basketball player, brown is an athlete. the fact that he's 22 compared to leonards 27 means nothing to me. i will take the guy who IS a superstar entering his prime over a guy who has all star potential(brown), and even a guy who has superstar POTENTIAL(tatum). if the spurs want tatum so bad, then c's should deal him. losing tatums shooting would suck, but they would gain talent, and an absolute dog in kawhi.

Insofar as Kawhi is a better player than Hayward, sure. But I don't think Hayward is remotely redundant from the Celts perspective.

Brown is a SG, not a SF. Tatum is more comfortable at SF than PF so far, but he's got the frame of a four man, and that is likely his ultimate destination in the majority of lineups. Meanwhile, Hayward's ballhandling, ball moving and shooting skills are crucial to balancing out the Boston starting lineup.

Sixers are keeping Embiid simmons and Fultz off the table. If they aren't trading their stud young guys why should we? The spurs can demand whatever they want but we only have to beat the best deal

Yeah. I've been members of some boards where the poster has actually let people know in advance, or where a family member has come along afterwards on the poster's request. Just makes me vaguely sad that for every one of those, there's probably several where they just stop posting one day.
