"Rozier was a restricted free agent after the Boston Celtics extended the qualifying offer to him, but was close to finalizing a deal with the Phoenix Suns under the expectation that his qualifying offer would be rescinded to renounce his cap hold and make cap room for the Celtics to sign Kemba Walker. However, the Celtics and Hornets established the potential framework for a sign-and-trade deal that would result in a substantially larger payday for Rozier to comply with base year compensation rules."
"The deal allows the Celtics to retain the midlevel exception at $9.3 million and biannual exception at $3.6 million, in lieu of just the $4.8 million room exception they would retain if renouncing Rozier."

At 9 mil a year it would def be worth the risk!!
It's Cousins or Kanter IMO. Cousins is the only dude out there that sort of fits into the role Horford played for us with his passing and floor spacing..he struggled this year, but was a 35% 3pt shooter the year he got injured.. if you get him for 10 million idk how you can say no.

Been widely rumored, no?
I just hope it isn't for 4 years.
Might prefer Looney.
Kanters fine. At least he has some decent post moves and can rebound. We can always sign a vet min 7 footer later or trade for one. Looney at 6’9” is just not big enough. Plus he would want to get paid either.
Looney has over a 7’3” wingspan and can jump
