Both players were acquired for basically free. Sometimes just letting a player go is worth more than taking on contracts. See: Al Horford.

Jrue > Hayward, Turner > Theis. Stop being biased.

There is just no way. Hayward is better than Jrue and Theis is better than Turner. Myles Turner is talked about like he's Anthony Davis around here. I have no bias.

The Hayward/Jrue think I wont even flip put over. Theis being better than Tuner is pure delusion lol. There's a lot of room in between Anthony Davis and Theis lmfaoo

Can you point me to one? Especially this complicated?

This would effectively be a trade involving 4 parties.

For this team, I think I'd rather have Smart and a lottery pick than either of Jrue and Turner.

We as fans need to look at this as a GM not with a punchdrunk head from making the Conference Finals where we avoided a MIL team.

We did just lose to the Heat who were the 5th seed and...

Jaylen Brown 23 years old
Jayson Tatum 22 years old

Guys... our guys are 2-3 years away from entering our prime. Everything we do should be in mind of making our run 2-3 years from now. Not now. Not today.

Unless again you're trading for an MVP guy like a Harden.

easy with the Cobra talk. Maaaaaaaaacus is one of our leaders! We have a ton of assets and GH. No need to unload any of our core players, IMO

I will definitely not spend what it takes to get Harden and let's be real, unless he adjusts his style of play, Harden ain't winning ****, regardless of how many points he can score.
Good assessment:

I think the Courtney Lee deal to Memphis was a three-teamer if I remember correctly, also he was part of a 3-teamer that facilitated LeBron to Cleveland in 2014

Right now, we don't even know if we can trade Hayward prior to the draft. He hasn't opted in yet, unless I missed something in the last 10,000 years we lost electricity.

I'm not huge on the idea of all the picks & Hayward for Jrue.

If Hayward is indeed going to leave regardless, a possibly expiring Jrue and a big TPE isn't horrible. Hayward, Poirier, Kanter for Jrue gets you $16M TPE. But, no way NOP does it without us throwing in some picks to ATL to get 6 to them.

Just not worth it, imo. It's basically doubling-down on the Kemba signing mindset. We're not a "replace Hayward with Jrue" move away from a title.

Hayward is gone regardless, so look at it as 14 for Turner.

Kemba/Smart/Jaylen/Tatum/Turner should be pretty damn good. Plus Turner is really close with them from team USA.

The Kemba contract kind of has this team in a weird situation. Just need to hope Tatum continues making the jump to MVP player, and little tweaks along the way that work out for them.

Kemba/Hayward/picks for Turner/Jrue/Lonzo.

Lonzo/Smart/Wanamaker
JRue/Langford
Jaylen/Semi
Tatum/GWill
Turner/Theis/Timelord

Pick up a bench scorer with the MLE.

I’m pretty neutral on Turner, but the appeal with him is the physical ability. I think he would make a decent jump here, but he’s so inconsistent.

I'm glad his career is going well, but I didn't deserve the penalty.

Probably not. However we live in the present and we have all made choices I am sure that might not have been the best. But to rehash the past is counterproductive it all aspects of life.

It's more than fair to look back at stuff once the dust has settled to see what was up lol.

Neutral is a good way to describe my feelings, too. Or maybe ambivalent.

I saw a video breakdown (maybe here?) of how much Turner improved defensively this past season. It was pretty compelling. If he can continue an upward trend defensively under Stevens (which isn't unreasonable), he could be a really impactful player for the C's.

Or he could just continue being the inconsistent tease he's been most of his career. Which would (IMO) make Hayward/14 an overpay.
