It wouldn't shock me if we're 13-1 (or at least 12-2) after that stretch.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

If they continue to play the way they did against the Knicks, they will be lucky to be 7-7.

As always, the answer lies in between the extremes.

10-4 would be awesome.

Why? We beat the Knicks on the road. And the Knicks are arguably better than every team on that list.

My actual prediction is 11-3 after that stretch, which puts us right around the pace for my 61 wins prediction.

For fun! Here's my ranking of our 14 players, just in terms of defense.

It's a rough ranking..I'm sure you could debate some of these guys being a little bit higher or lower. I didn't put a ton of thought into it..just doing it between tasks at work :)

1. Jrue Holiday
2. Derrick White
3. Al Horford
4. Jayson Tatum
5. Lamar Stevens
6. Kristaps Porzingis
7. Jaylen Brown
8. Luke Kornet
9. Dalano Banton
10. Sam Hauser
11. Jordan Walsh
12. Payton Pritchard
13. Svi Mykhailiuk
14. Oshae Brissett

I don't think Brissett is terrible on defense. I think he is ok on defense, has his moments but is kind of meh on that end. The last 3 guys on the list are fairly interchangeable. This moreso tells us that we don't really have anyone I could call a terrible defender - which is good.

I'm not sure how Stevens can go above KP. KP is going to cause a lot of problems with his length and we already saw it last night.

Yeah, I mean they're only 1 spot apart. Like I said, there's certainly some room for debate here.

I just think that KP has a couple of issues defensively. 1 is he's sometimes slow to close out on guys out on the perimeter, or doesn't close out at all - just stays closer to the paint and dares them to shoot. The other one is that since he's so skinny, he can sometimes be overpowered by big/strong bigs down in the paint who can at times score over him kind of easily.

And I just think Lamar is a really good, versatile defender without any major weaknesses.

Should we talk about substitution patterns and minutes distribution? I guess 1 game is still too little of a sample but it did give us some information.

Not to mention the Knicks were hitting the 3 ball at a pretty good clip.

And we haven't even played great yet on offense.

Look I get it; we’re so so hyped for this season and the promise of this team. But let’s be real; it’s game 3 coming up; we know nothing. First week to week and a half is notoriously weird/different.

All we can say is they look healthy and hungry. They’re playing with effort.

We won’t know much substantive about this team until 15-20 games in.

I’m not saying don’t be a fan ! Don’t be passionate ! You can have all the takes; I would just say to hold to them loosely.

Also, what does one game of plus minus mean? Should I hold on to that tightly?

Since my takes change day-to-day, game-to-game, possession-to-possession, not worried about holding on to my opinions about the team too tightly.

They will be trash in my eyes after they suffer their first loss.
