Keeping Baynes is surely still a possibility.

I’ve been in and out but what changed in regards to baynes being traded to suns

People keep bringing up baynes but he's gone. Gonna have to let it go.

Baynes isn't irrevocably gone until either:
-- The trade with Phoenix is officially finalized.
-- Somebody comes up with a reason that Phoenix wouldn't WANT to modify the deal and not take him.
-- Other trades crystallize to the point that it's clear the Cs really need his outgoing salary to make the deal(s) work.

As everyone knows, a Kanter is in between a trot and a gallop. In other words, treadmill.

It's Cousins or Kanter IMO. Cousins is the only dude out there that sort of fits into the role Horford played for us with his passing and floor spacing..he struggled this year, but was a 35% 3pt shooter the year he got injured.. if you get him for 10 million idk how you can say no.

I like to do it with authority like when my new puppy pisses on my carpet "NO!"

Not much out there right now man..

We just signed an All-NBA player a couple of hours ago.

Tough crowd lol.

Tough crowd let's see now we draft small lose rozier, irving, horford, morris, baynes, and sign an older version of kyrie without the attitude. Let a plethora of decent bigs with good contracts walk without talking to them. so ya not a tough crowd a very smart crowd that sees a hurry up plan turn to no depth and below avg available bigs left that we will most likely have to pay and play, all the while almost every eastern team not named wizards increased there talent.

Kanters fine. At least he has some decent post moves and can rebound. We can always sign a vet min 7 footer later or trade for one. Looney at 6’9” is just not big enough. Plus he would want to get paid either.

Looney has over a 7’3” wingspan and can jump

https://www.nba.com/celtics/draft/profile-kevon-looney

Just not big enough to guard embiid and Giannis is taller with twice the wing span of looney. Plus the warriors got Bogut to defend bigger centers, and we don’t.

We’re actually stacking him and Edwards together to be our starting center. Details still being worked out who gets to sit on who’s shoulders.

https://theathletic.com/1054803/2019/06/30/sources-terry-rozier-agrees-to-deal-with-charlotte-hornets/

"Rozier was a restricted free agent after the Boston Celtics extended the qualifying offer to him, but was close to finalizing a deal with the Phoenix Suns under the expectation that his qualifying offer would be rescinded to renounce his cap hold and make cap room for the Celtics to sign Kemba Walker. However, the Celtics and Hornets established the potential framework for a sign-and-trade deal that would result in a substantially larger payday for Rozier to comply with base year compensation rules."

"The deal allows the Celtics to retain the midlevel exception at $9.3 million and biannual exception at $3.6 million, in lieu of just the $4.8 million room exception they would retain if renouncing Rozier."

That sounds like the Hornets doing us a favor, which suggests they might want/get compensation for doing so.

But none of this news seems to be reliable in its details right now.

We did each other a favor. Charlotte didn’t have cap to sign him otherwise.

So are we getting a TPE in the Rozier deal or was it lost to sign Kemba?
