This is actually a really good trade for both teams IMO. Thunder needed youth and a capable SF. Suns needed veteran leadership if not also better shooting from the PG position.

Thunder already have youth and a capable small forward(s) in Bazley and Roby. Trade makes way more sense for the Suns. I wonder if Paul forced his way to PHO because otherwise I am having a really tough time understanding why OKC took back scrubs and salary when they certainly should have been able to get better offers.

Thanks for paying attention. The link you provide references a virtual meeting. If he provided a "highlight reel" or some other kind of video, that's not quite the same thing as a workout. Maybe I just missed it. I have seen lots of bums, some who went as high as #1, with impressive videos that when you watch them play live, or even move around live, it's a big difference from their edited videos, which could "seem impressive." Put zero stock in a video unless it is completely unedited (NO CUTS, not one, which limits you to one camera). Even then, a guy can come in 10 times and have one good shooting day (and blow the other nine), and that one good day is the one that will show up in the video from his agent.

I was thinking Erick Dampier, maybe a modern Eric Dampier, either way for all the hate he gets, should be a sure thing rotation big, if not starting center.

Yeppers if all options are off the table the 26 might be similar trade as last year

What is the trade up that you’re saying is likely to happen?

I'm saying trade up is unlikely unless last minute team helps

Would love RJ Hampton at 14 if Celtics stay there. Lot of noise he's the guy from what I've heard from somewhat reliable source.

Also heard if they move up it'll likely be for Killian Hayes but all depends on draft board. They won't move up to 8 for him but if he's still there past 10 look for them pull the trigger on that. Hampton and Hayes are their top two guys.

I think the issue with Carey is that he is a good player much like Kanter but if the other team doesn't commit to playing that type of guy then he is good enough to force you to play that type of guy and the answer is I don't know.

That said the dude is a solid rebounder, shot blocker and 3pt shooter so this is probably just a huge head fake by the league.

Got an update tonight FWIW and have heard we won't know until draft begins whether a trade up will happen -- too many moving pieces during draft with who is still on the board. For example, not gonna trade up to 7 until they're on the clock. There just isn't much interest in taking Celtics picks so he thinks Boston is staying at 14. Heard Hampton there. Ainge wants to move 26 or 30 for a future 1st but teams love the 2021 draft. At 26 look for Josh Green if he is still on the board and if not it's Isaiah Stewart.

He also heard Payton Pritchard has a 1st round promise. Quickley is moving up draft boards. Zeke Nnaji is a guy a lot of teams are high on. Maxey has been great in interviews but looking like anywhere from 15-27.

Will talk again tomorrow and see if there is an update. Will know more about Hayward but he says looking like he's going to opt-in and then be dealt.

Never has been. Dude is 6-3 170 lbs. Can only guard the 1 and for backups they're looking for bigger guys so they have more versatility. Part of reason Hampton is so enticing to them.

Look at Wanamaker. Not a fan of his but he's 6-4 210 lbs and doesn't get targeted
