Brown to houston, they want a bonafid scorer.. Assets galore plus fillers to Utah.. Lauri Makk to Boston..

Boston gets a much better fit.D White Tatum and kp all excel with more opportunities

LM can legit play with KP and/or be a great replacement down the road.

Houston gets someone who believes in Brown and allows him to. E a true number 1 option,, uthah gets assets to keep danny happy.. win win win..

No we keep brown and you can change team to rockets …

You have until the summer to speak it into existence. Lauri can't be traded this year.

Whether you like JB or not, one of the reasons why the Cs won a chip is because of his defense.

Lauri will never come close to being a great defender.

Regarding this MVP talk, watch out for JT in March because I think that's the time JT will be at his best.

Crazy thing is it "only" saves slightly less than $7M. With tax multiplier that's quite a bit. But it's not a huge get us under the aprons move. I guess every bit helps. We'd definitely need some of that asset (ie picks) pile to make up the value difference, imo. Given that, I'd probably lean to keeping Brown.

Or if you do have to get under the apron go for a package of younger/cheaper players you think will pop instead of doing this deal. But, it's a decent thought.

With the contracts of Luke and Horford expiring this season, they only need to trade Jrue for the Cs to get under the apron.

A move like trading JB is too drastic.

I was mainly responding in the context of a JB trade already, but yeah it's not my first or 5th option any more. But, any trade always depends on the return. Also, I'm guessing Horford will be back on very similar $. And Kornet too, hopefully - or his roster spot has to be filled with similar $.

Hoping for Al to take a home team discount and settle for the minimum.

Luke for another minimum deal would be a gift.

I think that Horford does another year after this. Though, he doesn't really seem like he has declined, that much.
I can see him coming off the Bench, after age 40.

His next Contract should be declining, IMO.

He's been an absolute steal for his entire current contract, so I wouldn't expect much of a discount. If we get one, great. But, I'd tie him up for another 2 years / $20M extension yesterday.

True.

Can't give Al the same 10m per year.

Vet's minimum for 1 year and a chance to get another ring should be good enough.

That's just too much.

Cs are looking at a 500m payroll next season.

And a title if Al is still around. Without him, our chances diminish significantly, imo.

Yeah, I agree.

Guess it depends on if owners willing to pay.

Horford at any reasonable rate, is a steal.
Give him a Declining 2 yrs +1. Starting $8-9M.

Edit:
Al is a Consummate Professional.
I just think that he wouldn't stay, if he wasn't able to play, at a decent level.

Financials aside Lauri is a far better fit for Boston moving forward. And saving 7 million-ish is also a Bonus IMO. The team Ball movement would go up so much. and everyone "eats" better. So much better watching than Brown dribbling and creating so much for himself. Then Tatum takes his turn. I also feel without Brown Tatum's game would rise exponentially. His scoring and passing would make a definite jump. Size rebounding and improved spacing would be a WET dream for Joe.

You guys can disagree But I am so Sold on this.

You seriously want to Trade Brown, at this time?
I can see Trading them both, in due time. Like, when we Traded Pierce and Garnett.
Bu that's like 8-10 years away?

Eeew.
I don’t see how this creates more opportunities for other players. Browns usage is a bit higher than LM, but not a ton and his Assists are double.

Idk. I don’t like it.
