I don't read The Athletic or CelticsBlog and suggested Semi + Vince + BOS 1st for Bjelica. Therefore I am John Hollinger.

All of the names people are throwing out in the media are the same names people in this forum have been suggesting for weeks.

I highly doubt 100proof's 13-player, 3-team trades have been suggested elsewhere. But maybe only 'cos Ainge has already called it in thru the league office and is just waiting for approval.

Love that trade. Huge upgrade. ON the team for 2 years. Does what we need at the cost of a late, late 1st round pick. Also frees up roster spot for another buyout player, or Waters on the active roster.

Bjelica is a nice upgrade in the front court over theis, ideally team still targets a bench scorer at the sf spot.

Kemba/brad
Brown/smart
Tatum
Hayward/theis
Bjelica/kanter

Looks good but very weak at the backup sf spot.
Perhaps 1 of the following could be available at a low cost:
Cody martin
Chris hutchinsin
Cam johnson
Nassir little
Georges niang
Keldon johnson

Would love to nab keldon from the spurs, his potential for being an athletic 3andd paired with smart would be lethal.

Glenn robinson 3, burkes, bjelica to boston
Poirier, edwards, semi, to sacramento
Green to golden state.

Gs saves 3.5ish million
Sacramento adds cheap depth
Boston gets a starting center and bench scoring on the wings.

It's great, but are there rumors of them shopping him? Don't see why they would do this. Frontcourt is a little crowded, but I'd think they'd want/get more than that for him.

Would do a 2nd for Bjelica, but definitely not a 1st. Not someone that would swing a series against Milwaukee or Philly.

Have not read this entire thread and am sure derrickRose was discussed. But if Kanter continues his play and is starting at the 5 spot and rwIII is healthy, a guy like Rose coming off the bench would move the needle for us

.....imho IT4 would move the needle too but this is not it4 discussion. IT4 discussions get too emotional ha

Bjelica is a nice bench 4, not a starting 5.

I’d love bjelica on this team. Underrated ball handler/playmaker. Always thought he’s been under utilized since coming to the NBA.

Bjelica is 94.9th percentile among all qualified players in spot up situations and has an effective FG% of 64.4% on catch-and-shoot. That's good for 6th among 54 forwards with 1.5+ makes per game (minimum of 15 games). Names above him: Huerter, Mook, Bertans, Fournier, Duncan Robinson.

Huerter, only 21, would be nice too but Hawks won't let him go.

Great salary. Spot up 3pt shooter. 2 years control. 6'10" tall. He can be backup 4 and 5 for us against teams without a massive center. In fact, he might be the key to beating the sixers, getting open 3's from the center spot where embiid can't get out there too.

More of a center than theis, and he plays a far superior game at center kings just have him at pf cause they have to make minutes for dedmon and holmes.

Serious range too. Not just right at the rainbow line like Theis shoots them. 43.8% from 3. Career 39.3% shooter. The more I think about it, Divac might ask for Tatum lol.

I know it's easy to overvalue our players and assets, and I'm no huge fan of Kuzma, but I don't think LAL would come anywhere close to taking that offer seriously.

1. They're trying to win *this year* because LeBron is 800 years old.
2. That's three marginal NBA players and a very low draft pick for a guy averaging 17/6 for his career.
3. Most teams, like us, have filled their 15-man roster with guys they like, projects, or dead salary that they want to trade. It's negative value for most teams to take on two or three extra players mid-season, so all of the 3-for-1 and 4-for-1 trades in this thread are even less likely than they look at first blush.

Well considering how much Washington were asking for in a trade exchange for Bertans I’d much rather grab Bjelica.

Bjelica isn't an upgrade over Theiss-- or Kanter for that matter-- but he is an upgrade over Poirier. He would be a useful addition, especially given his ability to hit the three.
