Love you Korny!! :o

We can trade him right away. We can't aggregate his salary to make trade math work for 60 days though.

He makes $22.6M. We could trade him and take back up to 125% + $100K of that ($28.35M).

We can trade other players in a deal with him. We just can't aggregate salaries. So we could trade Brogdon and Pritchard for a player making $25M. Because Brogdon alone makes enough to match salaries for that player. We could not, however, trade Brogdon and Pritchard for a player making $30M right now. We'd have to wait 60 days to be able to aggregate their two salaries together to make that trade matching math work.

I think that she's talking about Kornet?

Oh... well, info still holds true for anyone who wants it haha

2020: 56 games

You keep all 3. All 3 can play both PG/SG spots. We no longer need to add a wing because Brown will only only be our starting SG but now, also can be our primary back up SF.

I don't think the Celtics will use the $17 million player exception. There's no minutes to go around with our top 9 now.

I feel Boston will get a vet big off waivers or that signs here flat out for the minimum, that wants a chance at a title. Think someone that can give us 8-10 minutes a game when needed.

I think that you're right. We likely keep all 3. -- But this does make Pritchard a bit expendable, at PG.
Though he is a spot on shooter. -- I think that it will be challenging to keep 4 PG/SG's.

Insurance to get the Finals?

I like Pritchard, but Ime refused to play him in the Finals, outside of about 5 to 10 minutes a game.

Adding Brogdon and Gallo cuts down playing time for Pritchard and Grant a lot. Grant is more valuable than Pritchard though, because he can play 3 positions on offense and defense.

White for a rookie type contact makes sense, too. A decent value guy.

Flatearth you really want to breakup the new Smart DWhite Brogdon backcourt. Why is that?

Formerly known as Boston34Bg, yes, I would, cause I don't think we need 3 guards 1 decent, 1 below average and 1 kinda bad 3 point shooting guard. I would take a decent prospect and a pick swap for White, easily. We overpaid, doubt anybody is dying to match that price, but we will see.
Good assessment:

Agree with everything but the end. Our frontcourt needs a bigger addition than that. We have a minimum of 98 games to play. Gallo who's older replaces Theis. Horford another year older. Rob is Timemanagement. There's much more minutes available for that last piece. Ima hoping Stevens sees it too and go gets a legit backup to Rob. A 7 footer (or someone who plays as one) Robinson, Bryant, Poetl, Lopez

Take a look at how many games Rob Williams has been hurt the last 5 years.

Boston will get another center in the next few days or even months (by the trade deadline). You need another guy that can play C for about 8-10 minutes a night. I won't trade White for a back up Center. We can get one for the player minimum soon.

A center for the vet minimum will provide less than Theis.

They can get away with Pritchard as the backup to Brogdon during the regular season. Just need Brodgon healthy by the 2nd round of the playoffs. They are thinner at center than pg imo.

Wish we could have found a way to get Vanderbilt from the Wolves. I feel he’s a Swiss Army knife defender who would clean up so much of our rebounding issues.

I don't understand the Kornet deal. He was glued to the bench for an entire season outside of garbage time even when the team needed to rest its bigs. I just can't see Ime playing him any games at all.

We have 15 Slots, and 17 counting the 2 x Two-Ways. -- We might as well fill them.
One thing was for sure. -- We didn't know who we could trust in the Regular Season.

And then, by the time the Playoffs came. -- Everybody was spent.
If it wasn't from Fatigue, then it was from Injury.

We Have to be redundant. We need More Players; that can Play.

Not necessarily. Think a buyout player that wants a title.

A top quality center isn't going to come here or want to get traded here and sit. There are no current minutes at PF/C on this team.

There are 96 minutes to go around for those two positions combined.

Rob will play about 26-30 minutes. Al will play about 24-28. Gallo will play about 22-26.

That's 72-84 minutes already with just these 3.

Then there is still Tatum that will play some PF when we go small. Then there is Grant that plays PF at times, once in a while at center.

Save the war on Theis for the refs. He is clearly above a minimum salary caliber of player. The Brogdon deal is a slam dunk trade you have to make, but it's fine to admit that losing Theis leave a bit of a void in the regular season center rotation. We're probably going to end up taking a step back there. Not a big deal, but it's a step back for that small, ancillary part of the roster.

And thanks for the explanation.
Opinions are variable for sure.
Sometimes the whole is greater than the parts and thats Smart Brogdon and DWhite. With Brog and Gallo we beat the Dubs.

Not necessarily. Guys who can contribute end up on the vet minimum for various reasons every year. GS had OPJ and GP2 playing rotation minutes in the finals vs Boston, both on vet min deals. Theis was making 8m to play a total of 20 minutes in the finals.
