The last time the Celtics lost 4 straight was May 2021. From this current roster, only Pritchard and Tatum played in those 4 games.

Basically, the Celtics haven't lost 4 straight since Brad Stevens became Supreme Being of Basketball Operations. That's what the Mavs are going up against.

No team has gone undefeated on the road in a title run since they changed the postseason format to 7-7-7-7.

One win away from getting off this (active) list...

Most playoff games played without a title:

Crazy that JB has already played in more playoff games than Jimmy Butler and Russell Westbrook.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I am going to post a name that hasn't been mentioned around here in a while. Probably far too long, honestly. I can't believe the team is on the verge of finishing this championship run off without him.

In the light of recent events and on the verge of winning the whole thing, how about whoever gets the FMVP rejects the award and says screw you media, we're a TEAM no need for individual awards.

Any NBA fan should appreciate what JT and JB did to get where they are at. It takes some "superstars" to be at their peak to start putting the work in to be great and win a championship. KG forced Pierce to become the best that he could physically be to win a ring in 07/08. JT and JB worked every year to get where they're at right now. Luka is the perfect example of not putting everything he has to be the best for his team. Imagine being a Mavs fan and seeing what hard work gets you right before your eyes?

Tatum and Brown will start thinking about #19 Saturday morning. I think that's the mindset of most great players.

I like the sentiment but I wouldn't do it, or expect anyone else to.

Take the award, and as graciously as you can say that you achieved everything you achieved as a team, that you wouldn't have been here without your teammates, that it's really a team award, etc. etc. Lots of guys say that -- almost each time each year -- and it's cool to reflect on what it means if each of them really means it. Jaylen or Jayson or whomever can join the ranks of those who actually do!

This team should be planning on winning more than one of these. So handle it gracefully and then go for it again next year. Eventually it'll 'even out' and be on your plaque in Springfield, MA.

These forums would be a lot more readable too. It's not that hard.
