also: lolz, without JT do we shoot better from 3?

Yes.

Big fan of Tatum, but he takes a number of forced 3s.

If Simons play for the Cs then the Cs will be more accurate from 3.

Don't have the stats but if I recall, JT's off-the-dribble 3s have been below average and sinking -- and he settles for a lot of them. We won't miss the vast majority of those.

But we should also give credit to JT for presumably helping create high % 3s for his teammates. It's going to take a team-wide dedication to moving the ball and moving bodies to not have a large drop-off in team-wide shot quality.

My optimistic prediction is that team 3pt % goes up a bit, overall.

Grousbeck stepping down as Celtics governor once the sale is complete.

The Chisholm era starts now.

Some of you might get your wish after all about a prolonged tank. Wyc stepping away is not a good thing.

Wyc's dad selling the team was likely not a good thing.
Wyc not being a puppet for a couple of years as a vanity thing? TBD.

If the check I'm writing has 9 zero's on it, I wouldn't want to share my office with the guy I bought the team from either :D

Jaylen plays lots more SF than SG but whatever HoopsHype.
I'd take Bane over Herro any day, and would put Herro last.

Well I guess that answers that question.

Answers exactly what I said, it’s why they are trying to move Simons. Really don't like it, but w/e. It’s not about him starting over Simons, I don’t think he is a starter period. Most people can start in the regular season, Pritchard is about to dominate, no doubt. Can he start in the playoffs and be as effective, I have my doubts. I have been wrong MANY TIMES before, maybe he is a starter in this league.

I am hoping I’m wrong! I want the best out of all Celtics! I simply believe they have made moves in the past that likely cost us a chip(s) earlier in the jays career, because they gave certain guys too much rope while freezing out other guys. That’s another issue though.

So we start Pritchard/White/Brown/Boucher/Queta (or Garza).

With Hauser/Simons/Queta (or Garza) as the first group off the bench.

It's not bad it's just thin up front but then it gets real quickly in terms of what you can expect from guys after that.

My old T+T board threads going to look great when PP puts up 23/5/5 on elite efficiency and maximum angry scowls per game.

I have no doubt that the man is going to have a monster regular season! I’m cheering the entire way! My only concern will be the playoffs. So those numbers don’t look far fetched to me, 23 is really good, but he may even score more points if I’m really thinking about it.

Edit: if he goes opposite of his regular season in the playoffs, how do you sit him again? I just don’t see it. Once you Start him, that’s it… without a trade. It was the same for Smart and IT4 before him. You can start them, but once you let go of the rope, you can’t reel them back in.

Maybe, maybe not.

It's not a direct quote from Joe.

It's a report from a Mavericks reporter. Not sure how trustworthy it is when a Mavs reporter is talking about who might start a game for the Celtics which won't be played for another 2 months..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Nobody knows for sure.
But Hey Hal, why don't you taper it back a bit there.

You're confrontational on almost every post.
