I don't think i've seen a single player shoot as many airballs as Lonzo.

Homecourt is going to matter, we're not a tier above the Raps, Bucks of the worlds. And probably not the 76ers or Pacers with the way we're playing.

If we beat the Raptors Friday we can cut the lead down to 2.5 games. For first overall that's a pretty big **** lead only 15% into the season, but that's at least within reaching distance. You can potentially come back from that even though when you're chasing a team that on any given night has the best record in the NBA it's really not ideal.

We can't afford to give up more ground. Scal said it's a must win, I'll agree with him.

I was pleasantly surprised he said that. He’s usually the type of guy with blind optimism, which makes sense because he’s a relatively new Celtics broadcaster. He’s not wrong. I’ve been saying it for a while now. Toronto, Milwaukee, Philly, and Boston all have major homecourt advantages. Securing a top-2 seed could be the difference between the ECSF and ECF.

When this team is actually playing to 90% of its capabilities no team in the east can beat them 4 times out of 7.

If they are playing at 100% gs might nit beat them

I think you're miscounting the number of MVPs players in their prime are on our team vs GS.

That said it is interesting to think of next year if KD leaves GS. Get KD off the Warriors and they're back on normal dynasty levels.

That and typically from an injury like Hayward if he is going to recover he will recover next year. And while Tatum obviously didn't develop this off season, next year he could develop his slow ball control to become a playmaker on the leve of Hayward and transform this team too.

Facts. I hate the super cool attitude where it don't matter at all. Not that its game 7, but it's a big game that we needa win vs a division rival. It's important.

However, i'm not tripping over Tor having a 3.5 game lead. That's nothing to me. We could definitely gain 3.5 on Tor. We need to play more like last night instead of last week of course, but a 3.5 game lead with 70 games to go is not a worry at all to me. Chanes are we hit our bottom while Toronto could've peaked already. I'm not stressing being down like that.

Well it's either going to be 2.5 games or 4.5 lead come this weekend.

Honestly this is going to be a battle for the #1 overall record in the NBA.

I would agree if this was a fight for the 4th seed or something that it doesn't matter with people here that like to ignore it.

But I like you am happy to see Scal knows that difference matters for #1 overall seeds. Simply put, the Raptors are not going to lose very often rest of season so leads on that level are much larger than they appear.

If we lose Friday and go into December down by 5 games or more, then it's GG on #1 overall (or just the East but it'll be overall as the Warriors will be bored) record imo.

We owe something to both Utah and Toronto. As far as Im concerned, both are must wins— time to prove were a good team.

LMAO

If Brad ever said stuff like this, I would die. He wouldn't though and he doesn't make excuses or air the teams dirty laundry either to the public.

I feel the same way. Magic went full blown behind the scene/tampering mode. Got Lebron, Rich Paul gets AD as a client, AD will demand trade and force a move to LA. Third guy joins as a FA.

Who needs to be smart, draft and trade well when you can conspire and get it done Pat Riley style.

So do we want KD to go to the Lakers, or come play in our division with the Knicks? Gross x2.

Could you imagine the Atlantic if KD goes to New York? We'd legitimately have 4 of the top-10 teams in the NBA and easily the 4 best teams in the East. Would be a bloodbath.

Return to Boston Celtics
