Is the thought of watching Smart & Holiday defend together potentially better than sex ?

Its just Ainge and Haywards agent leaking stuff to signal that its last call time on Hayward.

I think there's a lot of posturing going on right now from all angles. Think back on Danny Ainge deals. A lot of times he ends up acquiring a player that nobody in the media was talking about. So the real question is who is Danny really after?

Well, that's somewhat true. Usually, it's guys on the block who the Celtics aren't linked to. Kyrie's speculation only started when Griffin dropped their name. If I remember correctly up until that point it was centered around Phoenix beforehand.

No, but put Okongwu into our defense and I might skip my next session with the wife.

Hayward for Holiday doesn't work if Hayward exercises his 15% trade kicker, which he will not waive. Why should he? So the Pelicans need to include something else, e.g. Redick.

I just got chills and I think my life expectancy has now dropped at the mere mention of this hypothetical.

If you think replacing Hayward for Jrue on top of giving all of our picks gets us closer to a title next year you are crazy.

I'll fly to Boston to ask for Danny resignation if we are seriously making that trade.

Even Hayward straight for Jrue makes us worse. How the hell are we going to fill up the 2-3-4 positions when the Jays are not playing?

Hayward is not getting sent to New Orleans.

Many analyst also don't believe he's a good defender either as he plays drop coverage which is fine in the regular season by all last playoffs Centers that do that got eaten alive. Like Embiid and Gobert.

I wouldn't be surprised if Turner contributes less than Smart to a team and Smart is a 6th man on a championship team kind of player.

Then you factor in you can get Centers in the open market for 1/100th of their value and it's a terrible investment from an asset point of view.

Again though Hayward is an asset that has an expiration date that's pretty clear right now, so it's better than nothing.

I would genuinely rather let Hayward go for nothing than trade him for Jrue Holiday and Myles Turner. Can they trade Hayward for a legitimate game-changing kind of player instead? If not, I don't really get enamored with average starting point guards on the downside, and average starting centers who haven't improved much in 3-4 years, especially when these players aren't cheap. I've been reading these trade threads for the last three years with Hayward and I don't think there have been any trades for gamechanging players, it's always Steven Adams or Clint Capela or Myles Turner or Lonzo Ball or some other OK player.

I do think if we hold onto Hayward, for a surprise team looking to generate cap space for the 2021 free agent class we could probably net a low first rounder for him at the deadline.

In my mind that's essentially what I'm comparing it too.

I wouldn't be upset if Ainge traded a lottery pick and Hayward for Jrue mind you. But yeah it's not exciting. It feels like the best shot at winning is to just draft the player in the lottery and hope you stuck gold for your young guys.

Everyone saying we can't trade Kemba cause it would look bad, But his KNEE might be the reason.

Doubt Hayward would wanna go anywhere but Indiana.

Knee or not, after what happened with IT and then if Hayward and Kemba go, we won't get any free agent bites for a decade or more.

There's been a bunch that have fizzled out, but we are still leading the league in bombshell trades under his tenure, don't you think?

Good thing we won't have cap room ever again.
