See you in June 2024

woooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. you gon do me like that? well we did make the bet! ill pull out the tae bo tapes now cause it's looking bleak for me.

There’s plenty of time left! I don’t know how much Trevion wants it and is willing to work for it, but the bet was “ever” so I imagine it’ll be five years or so before I or my descendants claim victory.

Took me awhile to remember who we had even bet about — I googled “fat Purdue center Celtics” and that worked :)

Trevion could get another summer league invite by the Celtics, seeing as how his passing skills and IQ are exactly what the Celtics need to beat the clever schemes of the Heat and Golden State...

Trevion ended his season with Washington's G-league team, the Capital City Go-Go's.

Here are his G-league highlights from the Warriors and Go-Go's:

Trevion Williams | Best Assists G-League Highlights | Santa Cruz Warriors '22/23

Trevion Williams | BEST PASSER IN THE G! | G-League Highlights | Capital City & Santa Cruz

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Trevion is more of a PF than a Center, though. With a real PF, you could move Brown to Shooting Guard, Tatum to Small Forward, Rob Williams remains at Center, and open up a spot for a real point guard, if they were smart enough to bundle the older players (Smart @$18M, Horford @$10M) for a real starting point guard, who is young and healthy, who can shoot. This franchise traded Pierce and Garnett, so why are they afraid to pull the trigger on the other veterans?

Trevion Williams will wear a hole in the bench on any team coached by Joe Mazulla. He shot 24% from 3 on very few attempts. And while he makes some nice passes, his assist-to-turnover ratio is about one to one.

As Auerbach always said, if the other guy didn't catch it, it wasn't a good pass.

I loved his passing -- big man passing is one of my favorite parts of the sport -- but it was on defense where I decided almost instantly that I don't believe his is ever going to make an NBA rotation, and maybe not roster.

Actually that works for us. We don't really do defense here anyway. Joe might keep him where Ime didn't.
