Beautiful. The best thing for the offense, now get Hield here instead of Brogdon and his over dribbling ass.

New: Austin Rivers revealed on the latest Bill Simmons podcast that he's been in contact with the Celtics about a potential deal this month: “I told (Brad) I’d love to be a part of the team. He said a lot of positive things..."

https://t.co/g3nLcmi8Si

Brogdon should start packing his bags. Stevens just waiting for the right deal

I still think there's a decent chance Brogdon gets traded. Can't stand Rivers though.

I'm not big on Rivers either, but remember that he's become (I think!) a humbler being than he was in his early privileged coach's son days. And now he's basically asking for the opportunity, loves Brad, seems willing to take a limited role. Hopefully he'd be a solid vet presence, be able to come in for limited minutes and bust his butt, make some passes and hit a few shots.

There is some upside to Rivers, and at this point we're looking for the stuffing and gravy at the 15th roster spot. Rivers is decent insurance; he can be a good vet and bench presence and get some of those type of minutes that Griffin got last year when players were out or resting (albeit covering backcourt instead of frontcourt).

And Rivers testifying about Dame and James. He makes a good point. There are experienced FA's out there (like him) signing for vet minimum because the money all going into big star contracts. Now, if Dame gets traded to Miami and we have Rivers, I'm fine with the guy going out there with a bit of a chip on his shoulder and extra motivation to shut Dame down (even if not monetary incentive).

The Clippers are dead to me. Hope they stay irrelevant forever. Lose Kawhi and PG for nothing.

Ramona legit didn't even say the Brogdon part, straight up misinformation. Mentions the elbow injury but that's it, says he's not really mad at the team for the trade rumors

As for Brogdon for Hield...if Brogdon is healthy, I'd still do it but I'm not as high on Hield as others

Yeah I don’t care about the Brogdon being angry part lol, just Tatum at PG a lot.

Most importantly, it’s exactly what’s best for the team. Also. It’s part of why I said the Smart trade may end up being the best thing for Tatum’s career.

I don't think we'd be in pursuit of Hield if the sticking point in Indy was his contract extension. He won't get that in Boston either. Same issue Brogdon would be facing. Cs already extended Brown and Porzingis. White up next (then Tatum next offseason). Gotta think there's some limit to ownership spending considering repeater tax is a nastier bitch with the new CBA.

Rivers sucks as a player just as much as his dad sucks as a coach.

Brad needs to make sure Brogdon is healthy and and is going to be a big part of this team.

I don't want Tatum handling the more.

Brogdon for Hield works in the trade machine....But C's Wins decrease by 2 while Pacers Wins decrease by 5....How is this even possible??? Haha.

Just proves that 90% of the rumors that get reported are BS.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I think the only way we sign Rivers is if Brogdon gets shipped out and we need to try and sign a guard to replace him.

If Brogdon stays, I think we would go with someone with more size (and who has less overlap in terms of size, skill set, strengths and weaknesses with Brogdon/Pritchard/Svi) for the 15th spot.

More than likely, the talks we had with Rivers were before we signed Svi. After the Svi signing, I don't think we sign Rivers - unless Brogdon (or Pritchard) is moved..
