Pretty sure the plan A for that was Paul George
Possibly but that doesn't mean there isn't another plan. Especially if this reporter just met with Amir; he would have spoken to Ainge after it was known George was leaving.

Pretty sure Amir was relaying what Ainge said to him before the offseason started. That their plan A was to move on from him and hunt all stars, but I could be wrong.

I'm sure that is true but was Paul George really the only one he was considering looking at to pair with Hayward? I guess it remains to be seen. I won't be at all surprised to just see a couple small moves to balance out the roster a bit, but I wouldn't count something larger out either.

I definitely agree that they'll be looking for something, I just think the only guy they could have planned for this summer is PG. Going forward its just being in the best position to trade for a guy when they want to leave.

Was it too much to ask for to get best rookie in draft, best available free agent and best veteran via trade? I guess so. We may have to settle for second choice now. I think Jae, Morris plus Veteran exception plus Rozier gets us to 18 million which could get us 23 million dollar player in a trade. Let's see what's available in December.

Haha though for real I think everyone saw this move coming from a mile away
There wasn't one writer who didn't mention Miles and Toronto

Impossible because of the cap at the time - would've cost us Hayward.
Okafor could end up better than Porzingis, it's really early in their careers. Jah is still 21. He keeps losing fat and adding muscle, at some point that may help him with defense/rebounding.
