Pretty sure the plan A for that was Paul George

Possibly but that doesn't mean there isn't another plan. Especially if this reporter just met with Amir; he would have spoken to Ainge after it was known George was leaving.

Pretty sure Amir was relaying what Ainge said to him before the offseason started. That their plan A was to move on from him and hunt all stars, but I could be wrong.

I'm sure that is true but was Paul George really the only one he was considering looking at to pair with Hayward? I guess it remains to be seen. I won't be at all surprised to just see a couple small moves to balance out the roster a bit, but I wouldn't count something larger out either.

I definitely agree that they'll be looking for something, I just think the only guy they could have planned for this summer is PG. Going forward its just being in the best position to trade for a guy when they want to leave.

Was it too much to ask for to get best rookie in draft, best available free agent and best veteran via trade? I guess so. We may have to settle for second choice now. I think Jae, Morris plus Veteran exception plus Rozier gets us to 18 million which could get us 23 million dollar player in a trade. Let's see what's available in December.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

1. We may have drafted the best player. Too early to say and Tatum is making Ainge look good in July atleast.

2. We got the best free agent.

3. Give you that one.

Ya no surprise. I also won't be surprised when Melo ends up in Houston. I hope it happens that'll be a fun team

I am ready for some more action from the Cs....use up that Room exception :). waiving Mickey / Jackson and making Hayward official has to happen first I suppose.

Impossible because of the cap at the time - would've cost us Hayward.

Okafor could end up better than Porzingis, it's really early in their careers. Jah is still 21. He keeps losing fat and adding muscle, at some point that may help him with defense/rebounding.

:o at the potentially being better than Porzingis claim...

But if Philly would do Jackson/Mickey/future 2nd for Okafor, I would do that trade in a split second.

Thomas/Smart/Rozier
Brown/Green
Hayward/Tatum/Ojeleye
Crowder/Morris/Yabusele/Theis
Horford/Okafor/Zizic

Still light on the rebounding, but not a bad looking team. 8-)

Don't think he will, but if he makes a breakthrough on defense/boards and Porz doesn't get healthy and trend upward, stranger stuff has happened.

Hoping we can get Jam Green in a sign and trade, for Crowder.

Three point shooting takes a hit - Green would have to scale up on volume and you'd hope for good years from Rozier, Smart, Brown.
