Give Theis some extra size and strength and make him younger - and we get good return for the 30th pick IMO

(I agree with BG on this front, typed this before reading BG's post)

Wow the next Daniel Theis!! Is this supposed to excite me? Now I'm even more depressed...

For pick 30? Heck yeah that would excite me.

That's what I was thinking too.

Who knows if we'll still have it, but if we still have the 14th pick to use, I want Kira Lewis with it. There, I am on the record. Carry on.

You and I are on the same page. Nesmith is a great shooter and can create his own shot.
I watched a bit of Stewart last season and he is a complete Michael Cage clone with a tad more shot blocking ability. 100% motor.

Hearing Hampton is the guy at 14 if they stay there. Want to trade 26 or 30 for a future first ideally. They're high on Isaiah Stewart but hearing he won't last till 26 - he's been great in interviews and workouts. Tillman is not on their radar, said it's pure smoke screen there.

Nnaji is one of the biggest risers. My guy said he's been blowing teams away with his three point shooting in workouts which he didn't show much of in college. Prayton Pritchard has a 1st round promise. Isiah Joe is also going top 35 for sure and maybe first round. Was also told to keep an eye out for Jay Scrubb in late 1st.

Let’s say Edwards/Ball go 1/2 and we shock the world by trading for the #3 pick. Who are you taking?

Okungwu. Runs both sides of the floor, you know what your getting with him. I'd look hard at Topin as well.

Wiseman to me, has character issues and is unproven. He quit on his team pretty easy last year for the suspension. The entire Penny in high school and college situation raises too many red flags for me. Also "won't talk to Minnesota" etc.....

I really hope the RJ news is wrong.

There are gonna be better prospects on the board still IMO. Maxey, Achiuwa, Nesmith. One of them will def still be there

IMHO, RJH and Achiuwa are the similar level talent, both are NBA ready athlete who has trouble in shooting. Achiuwa fills the need but with the departure of Hayward/Wanamaker and possible knee issue for Walker, the playing time is open for RJH, too.

It is all up to the evaluation of mental strength, professional attitude and so on, which in Danny we trusted.

And RJH shows more professional attitude than most of the draftees.

If RJ is the guy, watching his highlights, man he reminds me a lot of college Jaylen. Just like college JB, this dude LOVES to drive to the rim. Great first step and NBA ready physique.

I just hope he has the same mentality and work ethic at Jaylen. If so, he can be a great player. But that is a HUGE if. Jaylen has become an excellent player considering where he started. Not everyone reaches that potential

I see a more athletic langford which is not really that exciting to me.

I don't see the strength that I saw in jaylen. He def has the pop but jaylen always played like a beast.

Agree to disagree on all 3 honestly and I'm a big Maxey guy. Nesmith will be better day 1 but adds almost nothing else. Precious has a long way to go too but I like him a lot

Jaylen is much bigger and can play PF for moments that RJH could never be.

But RJH can handle the ball with skills Jaylen can only dream for.

Well if we do pick RJ, then I will definitely hope you're right. I would love for him to turn into the next russell westbrook but I just see him being a turnover machine because teams will just sit and collapse on his drives.

I think he will do well in transition but will struggle in halfcourt sets.

My favorites in this draft are:

Onyeka - still want the C's to get him somehow.
Kira Lewis - a young sophomore, blazing speed, decent jumper, and decent vision
RJ Hampton - I think if Lewis is gone he has the highest upside of players available to be drafted in our range.
Cole Anthony - I know people sh*t on him, but he's super tough, has an amazing pedigree, and his jumper is wet. I just think he's going to be good in the NBA, I might be irrational, but I'd take a chance if he fell.

Wiseman got screwed last year. The NCAA is totally corrupt his suspensions resulted from him and his family doing something legal that became illegal when his AAU and former NBA player Penny Hardaway took a job with the school he was headed to. The situation was ridiculous but Penny Hardaway appears to have used Wiseman's commitment to get the job at his own alma mater. He is the person who should have been punished not the kid and his family trying to navigate this bull system.

Good to see you again! Hope all’s good as it can be. I’m not particularly on the Kira Lewis bandwagon — too small for my tastes — but I don’t disagree with the rest and have been a big Okongwu backer/dreamer. I also really like Saddiq Bey — looks like a 10-year pro who could play right away — and hope we take Jalen Smith or Precious if we stay at 14, but am not expecting us to (take either).

Hey thanks, this board has taken a turn towards the negative and I can't deal with that so I lurk. This time of year brings out an itch that I can't scratch unless I'm writing about it somewhere.

I wish I liked the bigs in this draft more. Saddiq will be a solid pro in the mold of a Jae Crowder, Wes Matthews type - I'm just turned off by his lack of athleticism and I think he has a high floor, but a low ceiling. I like his build and I know he's going to be good, I guess I'm just a sucker for higher ceiling players - it's a fault.

I don't know what to make of Precious. Love his build, but he seems to have a ten cent head? Or at least he doesn't know that he needs to be a banger and when you get those guys it's hard to get them to accept a role?

Smith could be the most intriguing skill set of the three, but he seems to be a bit stiff which makes me nervous.

Kira Lewis is on the thin side, but he's a legit 6'3 with a 6'6 wing span, and he's young for his experience. I think there's something to that. Tough to teach speed which he has in spades.

I think this draft has more potential than many, it's just going to be a matter of dancing through the rain drops and hoping for a pocket of sun.

Anyone have a read on Tyrese Halliburton? I think he's intriguing, but I don't know what his position or role would be?
