Right now if possible

If Cs don't make the Finals, trade KP, Jrue, and JB.

Start a semi-rebuild with JT and White as the core.

I would keep Jrue
He is the only guy that settles the team

Age and contract length makes Jrue not a long term solution.

JB, KP, and Jrue out and Giannis in.

New Big 3 JT, Giannis, and White.

JT, JB and White are still a great core.

Their contracts will look great compared to the ones that will be given out soon.

Yeah, that's more realistic.

But JT and Giannis would be like that Steph and KD pairing that won back to back championships.

They’ll start by combining for 60+ Wednesday night. It’ll be one of those games where they tell the team and coaches “move out the way, we got this”.

Yeah, I agree.

The new ownership will not trade JB if the Cs win back to back.

So we'll see.

Yeah, I hear you.

They're the Jays, that's their identity.

But you never know if this season will not end well for the Celtics.

Jaylen Brown for Giannis?
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

Celts will also have to give up Jrue and KP.

I think it makes sense to give up JB, Jrue, and KP for prime Giannis.

Why would MIL do this?
If we fail to win it all with this group + JT, why take them at all?

Only JB is sure to go to MIL.

Jrue and KP will have to go to other teams.

It will be a multi-team trade.

Fierce1 is giving up on this season after an OT loss in game 1 :nonono:

Not giving up, just want the window to be open until the 2030s.

GSW won 73 games and went to the Finals in 2016 and they still got KD in the summer of 2016.

Because Giannis is a free agent.

That’s overreaction. Who would you trade JB for? Jrue has been great in this series. KP? Yeah they need him but he’s been MIA.

I am sure they can get a better deal
Especially after the 2 games against the Knicks (overreaction :))

Return to Boston Celtics
