Karl potentially being the new Kings coach doesn't sit well with Cousins' reps

Doesn't actually reflect bad on DMC himself as it doesn't say he is against it, but we know the power of agents.. If they got in Cousins' ear maybe they all decide the Kings are no longer the team and request a move

Throw a mountain for him at the deadline, then I don't think anyone complains about chasing a playoff birth

would have to be Bass, Thornton, 1st (2016 cavs) for Jackson, Perk. A Smart, bradley, Jackson backcort would be strong. ..then this draft we can take WCS.

These two teams match up well IMO. Seems like something could be worked out. I like Jackson with Bradley, Smart and Young. Jackson takes it to the hoop more than the other 3.

I agree. I also think a mid-season acquisition of Jackson will make the Celtics an even more appealing destination for a potential FA in the offseason. If not, you can simply go out and grab a defensive big with your first rounder and rock out with that group. Might get a little sticky in terms of who you start between Smart and Bradley however... as you'd seemingly have to start Jackson.

I'm actually more worried about Ainge and Jackson than excited

He was high on him prior to the draft and whether it's trade or FA he wants to get paid big this offseason, and I don't necessarily think he's worth that big of an investment

As we saw from the rondo trade, not a lot of teams need point guards, and those that do will likely go after dragic first. I'm not to scared to have his restricted free agency. (Bledsoe only got 12-13 just last offseason and he's better than Jackson).

I love him in combination with smart and Bradley.

Bass/Thornton for Jackson/Perk, leave out the picks. We're giving them two excellent vets to bolster their rotation. Jackson's leaving no matter what. Who knows what Ainge thinks, though?

And yeah, I think it's 50/50 now that Love goes to free agency this summer and Cousins goes on the trade market. Just like last year, the draft order will determine a lot as far as our options.

I don't think Bass and Thornton would be enough. We'd have to get them some kind of center i'd think.

KG maybe? Does Brooklyn want to get under the tax still or do they want to make a run? TPE and some seconds enough?

Jackson doesn't get moved for anything less than prob Yong/and a late first, and I think Jackson is highly overated, so I would pass. Jackson is really struggling to even find minutes now, and Durant is out.

Harrison Barnes and David Lee for Sunninger and Wallace. I am finally jumping off the Sully bandwagon, seeing his attitude questions his ability to get in better shape this offseason.

Tweet in the Kings' board's coaching thread calls the front office a real life Game of Thrones.. Bears watching. There's Vivek, Pete D., Chris Mullin, Cousins' camp, Ty Corbin, Karl- great drama. And the minority owners oppose getting Karl..

What's George Karl's deal, by the way? Is he just hugely difficult behind the scenes? Brilliant coach, no major public controversies, but he can't get work..

If we don't draft a center, i hope Ainge shoots for Kosta Koufos.

He's not going back to Memphis, should come cheaper than the Deandre Jordan types, will be just entering his prime at 26, has proven he can start in the NBA, protect the rim, run the floor, and shoot efficiently. The dude wants to start somewhere and i can think he can have an Omer Asik type breakout.

I could get behind that.

I would go Smart/Jackson as starters with Bradley as the 3rd guard. There are 32 minutes per guy if you split it up evenly. wouldn't be an issue. plus you can go small ball with all three of those guys out there since Smart can guard some 3's.

I don't know... I go back and forth on it, but I think you kinda want to give the "point guard" duties exclusively to Jackson for the remainder of the year. Let him feel like he'll have the opportunity to play the role he wants and keep grooming Smart to play that PG role by having him come off the bench... That's where I think it gets a bit dicey bringing in Jackson. What kind of friction does it cause with Smart and himself. Not sure he'd be happy to sign long-term in a place where he might end up being the backup again...

But I'm also not sure that Jackson/Bradley is a great pairing... I'm still intrigued by the idea of pursuing Jackson. At the same time, it might be better to hold off and then look into Dragic/Knight or one of the other PG's likely to hit the market. And no, not Rondo.

Really too bad that NO doesn't have the salary pieces to send out to make a trade for Tayshaun. I think he could really help them, but they just don't have the right contracts to make the standard expiring flotsam/second rounders/euro guys draft rights/mardi gras beads kind of offer.

Not sure what they were thinking with that roster. They need a change in game plan and some shooters, there's just not enough spacing on the floor. They have too much talent to be in the bottom half of the league on D

liked what you saw last night? :)

Crowder seems like a potential great glue guy, guard multiple positions 3 and d type. I am liking him myself. We actually had a Crowder>Green thread going for a while LOL.
That said I would certainly consider that trade. gotta love Henson's length. I have not seen him play a ton. seems like he is not always a head in the game type of guy though.

Yeah, he could be a good defensive 2/3 off the bench and I don't see Henson being part of the plan in the future. He can block shots but hes soft and clumsy imo. He has games that make you think he could be part of the core but than follows it with a bunch of terrible games.
