Doe is a real one though, he knows IT is a joke. Just too bad hes washed up now, but he can still throw together a few spectacular trip dub games now and then.

I can't take Rondo seriously. He's a bitter old man who ruined what he had because he was moody, didn't play hard all the time and was impossible to coach. Most overrated player of this generation.

If he could hit a jumper, we would have beat the Lakers easily in 2010. But, instead, Kobe helped off Rondo and he did nothing to make them pay. And, we also had to put up with Zombie Rondo games, where he would got 2 of 4, with 4 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds.

I think it's due to Rondo being at PP's ceremony and drinking the '08 Celtics Kool-Aid. Rondo's always going to be a Celtic (which I think is cool), and he thinks (I think wrongly) that IT did something wrong.

I think the IT bashing has gotten a little out of hand, frankly. The guy played his butt off for us, even after losing his kid sister, and then we dumped him. He likes to run his mouth but I don't think he's really said anything out of line. The tribute video thing went sideways, but that's not any one person's fault.

tl;dr - I like both these guys even they both talk too much, and I find it hilarious that they got ejected because they're both ex-Celtics fighting over non-basketball stuff.

As much as I schruted it up on my draft projections, my EC power rankings from preseason don't look too bad, with the exception of underrating Toronto and overrating Cle.

1. Cleveland (I think their bench mostly sucks and their D is a huge weakness, but I'm betting on them using the BK18 pick to add somebody like Middleton or Marc Gasol)

2. Boston (more offensive firepower than anyone but healthy Cleveland and we have our own set of high-end assets to go all-in on a Gasol type - I just don't think we will).

3. Washington (they have good not great offensive starpower, rebounding and a decent supporting cast. Enough to plow through the dregs of this conference)

4. Raptors (still a good team, but they haven't resolved any of their issues and age/injury might start to factor in with Lowry)

5. Miami (they were great in the 2nd half. They have one of the more underrated collections of roleplayers, a la us the last few years and they will probably be the best defensive team in the conference).

6. Philly (they are absurdly young and green at their core. And they have some outright awful guys in their rotation in Bayless, Stauskas and Okafor. But Redick and Covington are excellent roleplayers, Embiid is incredible when he plays, Amir might have another RPM stud year in his legs, Simmons and Fultz won't have to do that much heavy lifting early and they will have a lot of tank teams to practice on).

7. Milwaukee (they have the talent to be much higher, but I really distrust their front office and they have a terrible injury track record).

8. Indiana (I hated the PG trade for them but I'm a big believer in Myles Turner and I think they are going to be the 2nd or 3rd best defensive team in the conference with all those physical guards (Dipo, Joseph, the weirdly rejuvenated Stephenson) and Turner behind them.

9. Detroit (Their talent is too much to fall lower than this - I just don't believe in this group of players)

10. Charlotte (should be pretty good defensively again, and they have a lot of scoring in the backcourtbut they have a really badly constructed frontcourt that's going to kill their offense and I don't trust Batum's health)

11. Orlando (some great defensive pieces but a terribly constructed team with questionable coaching and management)

12. NYK (of all the bottom feeders they have the most win-friendly talent, I just don't trust their ability to get anything out of it.)

13. Atlanta (moribund roster, good coach)

14. BK (the outsource tank is going to live on unless D-Lo goes supernova)

15. Chicago (most committed tankers with some of the best tank commander assets in the league)

Rondo was the first the player I modeled my game after (the broke jumper too). He can do whatever the hell he wants in my eyes haha

5-17 since acquiring Okafor (after a relatively decent 14-23 start). One of the best tanking assets the league has ever known.

Worst thing is that IT didn't even ask for any kind of tribute. It was all Celtics initiative. But somehow he's turned into a villain. He's called selfish douche for supposedly wanting his tribute purposefully on Pierce's jersey retairment night. :banghead: He actually even kindly asked not to play that tribute after butthurt Celtics fans ate him alive. I can absolutley understand him not knowing about that ceromony. Most NBA fans outside of Celtics probably didn't know about it. But somehow even that was turned against him as being douche who wants attention. And now butthurt Rondo blows everything out of proportion and confronts IT too.

I feel really bad for IT about how he's treated by a lot of Celtics fans. Guy played his heart out for this team and made it actually fun to watch again. It's absolutley fine to not want him here longterm but turning him into some kind of villain is beyond stupid.

If his medical status hasn't changed...Chris Bosh is an absolute idiot and I hope no one is dumb enough to sign him.

Rajon Rondo is the guy who skipped a game because his team (Celtics) sucked and it was his birthday.

Yet Celtic fans rip apart guys who gave it everything and or were professionals in IT and even Ray Allen

IT played through injuries and family deaths

Somehow Rondo is a "CELTIC FOR LIFE" as Celtic fans have put it

You cant get around these facts.

To be honest, i'd love to take a flier on Bosh, why not? Its not my money that is spend and even if he doesn't step foot a single second on the court he can provide some leadership in the lockerroom that is filled with young guys that could use some perspective. Still better than whatever Nader is providing.

Guards: Holiday, White, Pritchard
Wings: Tatum, Brown, Hauser
Bigs: Porzingis, Horford, Kornet

Assuming his health status hasn't changed...he could always...you know, die on the court. That's a pretty good reason not to pick someone up.

If he's been cleared by multiple doctors as 100% healthy then maybe I'd listen. Even then... maybe he just ran around until he found a doctor that would approve him.

I mean you don't stop cancer patients from foregoing treatment in order to do the things they love.

I guarantee you no legitimate doctor will clear Bosh.

Sad stuff.

I would hope not.

Guy needs to give it up. He's still got a ton of life ahead of him, forget basketball and move on.

And Lebron takes week long solo trips to Miami when he’s “tired”. Kobe demands to be traded because the team sucks. Leaving a team and going to their rival is a different level in regards to the fans. You might not understand that.. but it’s the truth.

That stint with Mavericks was absolutely embarrassing. Rondo is definition of selfish douche who thinks he's smartest person around. Guy simply gave up on his team and thought he's smarter than Rick Carlisle.

Return to Boston Celtics
