Simmons is much worse offensively than Giannis when it comes to scoring and both can’t shoot. Smart will lock up Beli or Reddick. Horford does as good of a job on Embiid as anyone but Embiid will get his at times. So I do think we have a shot just not confident in it yet. Just focused on the Bucks and rightfully so but it’s no damn LeBron James in the past we would be playing.
We definitely have a shot, but they have a TON of shooters, which is actually the toughest part about defending Philly. Gonna be tough on our defense.
I prefer having to stop shooters like Redick, Beli, Saric, Covington over having to stop guys who will put your ass in a blender in a variety of ways like Parker, Brogdon, Middleton, Giannis..guys who shoot it if you give space or run it by you if you challenge..there isn't a single player on that Philly roster that can do to us what Middleton is doing shooting the ball or what Jabari has done in a few moments of this series.
I personally think a Smart, Rozier, Brown, Tatum/Morris, Horford line up would cause all sorts of hell for those guys. Miami had no combination with as much speed, power, athletic ability, shooting and defensive versatility as that..nothing even close. Hopefully we get a chance to see it happen.
I could definitely see a scenario of Philly beating us, but they’re the team I was least worried about going into the playoffs. If we can make it to round 2, I could see us beating Philly.
It could definitely go 7 though. It’ll be really interesting to see how Brown and Tatum perform against their fellow top-3 picks on the other side.

I'm worried that this postseason is going perfectly for our rivals.
Cleveland and OKC imploding means FAs for Lakers and Sixers, with Philly becoming very attractive. Better to have Cavs and thunder as sponges to soak up FAs but not contend. Instead I see 2 of LeBron/PG13/Westbrook in LA with Ingram/ball/kuzma and 1 more in Philly. Not good to build 2 more superteams. That will make 4 teams with the best player on the court against us ... several with top 2...Philly maybe top 3

Great quote from Jae Crowder:
Kyle Goon: Crowder and Ingles took a question about Jae not being afraid to step up in conflicts: Ingles: “He tried to fight me in Boston! … They were cheering for Gordon, and he got mad at me. He should’ve gotten mad at Gordon.” Crowder: “Gordon wouldn’t talk back. I knew he would.” – via Twitter kylegoon

Westbrook? Dude's signed for 5 more yrs on bookoo bucks.
I think Pg13 & LeBron are out to LA. Ball-George-Ingram-James- FA C. use whatever assets to get off Deng. Fill the bench w/ Driders like DWade & a couple vets (maybe James Jones will trade himself from PHX to LAL) & they'll be nice.
LeBron could finally play like 33mpg & not have to do everything w/ a real pg on the court in Ball.
& Philly will prob end up overpaying someone cause that's what BC does. Still have a helluva roster tho.

Sixers are young but you have to tip your hat to their GM. If you have a great Center you want to surround him with shooters. If you have a Freak playmaker like Lebron you do the same. Philly has both in Embiid and Simmons and they went out and added Reddick, Ilyasova and Bellinelli who along with Saric make a formidable group. Orlando gave Boston and Cleveland a hard time in 2008-2012 with a similar formula and I think Simmons and Embiid bring so much more to the table than Howard and Turkoglu. We will be underdogs if we get past Bucks given Kyrie is out. Hopefully experience and Brad can overcome cockiness and youth.
I give Hinkie more credit for getting Embiid, Fultz, Saric and Simmons. When you get guys like that the rest comes easy.
I'm cool with them being favorites if we meet up..they are red hot right now. But Boston isn't Miami. Hell..Milwaukee isn't Miami. Miami was easily the weakest team in the playoffs without question. There's a reason everybody wanted to play those guys. There's a bigg difference in playing Justise Winslow, James Johnson and Kelly Olynyk over Tatum, Brown and Horford. Miami doesn't have that level of offensive talent.
I agree and I would bet on Horford leading this group to ECF. I just respect what is happening there. They have a bit of what we had last year plus 2 young players likely to be top 10 in NBA for a decade.

For some reason I thought Westbrook had waffled on the extension!
I think lonzo is useless with LeBron handling the ball.

Seriously I'd rather see Cavs and Thunder do well and maintain a 50 win treadmill than have the FAs form superteams in LA and Philly. (disclosure: Cavs are my 2nd favorite team)

Watching John Wall walk around on entire defensive possessions brings back good memories from last year.

Pacers have been trash most of this series tbh. Oladipo is a scrub. Dude is showing his true talent in these playoffs.

Wasn't that a goaltender by Lebron w 3 secs left?
Moot since he then sank a 3, but the ball had hit glass before he blocked it

Last three games: 12-of-50. Brutal.
HOWEVER, that last drive by him was clearly a goaltend on LeBron. I don't see how the refs missed that.

That's going on the career highlight reel. Incredible sequence to close the game for Lebron

Yep, LeBron. The block and the game winner.
Toronto can't get past LeBron. No way.
