You mean "protected"?

top 6 in 2020, unprotected in 2021

Jonas V back, so many teams in the West improving, pick projects to be in the Top 10.

Have spent more time "watching" free agency than did watching the draft, didn't know that was possible.

Dallas and Miami having troubles.

Golden State in the running for D Russell.

Celtics can still win, if they have anyone still in the game. Ownership needs to fire some people.

Tough crowd lol.

Tough crowd let's see now we draft small lose rozier, irving, horford, morris, baynes, and sign an older version of kyrie without the attitude. Let a plethora of decent bigs with good contracts walk without talking to them. so ya not a tough crowd a very smart crowd that sees a hurry up plan turn to no depth and below avg available bigs left that we will most likely have to pay and play, all the while almost every eastern team not named wizards increased there talent.

Yep. Seriously don’t get these everything is fine posts. I guess it’s to be expected from posters who spend months telling everyone Davis will be a Celtic when it never even came close.

All signing Kemba did was alleviate a disaster. It wasn’t some genius move.

Meanwhile the rest of our team got gutted and we are left hoping Jaylen Brown learns how to dribble and Tatum can figure out how to be a great scorer. Both fairly ridiculous expectations in just one off season.

Meh. I see it another way. I think it is very hard to win a title in this league, especially if you don't have a top 3 player. Ainge expertly managed a rebuild that positioned us for a possible kill shot this summer. While it didn't happen, he has also managed the fallback pretty expertly as well. We literally gave up next to nothing for Kyrie and Horford in the first place, and ended up with max cap room and Kemba for them leaving. That's almost witchcraft.

After 15 years of watching Ainge and this ownership group make excellent decisions, while proving over and over and over again that they are a top 3 front office by any rational standard, hard to see why the quality of their management is in doubt, but have at it, I guess.

2019-2020 - we finally get to see if Jayson and Jaylen are worth the hype.

We don't want the pick next year, want it in 2021.

Not too sure on how it all works but how do we change it from 2020 to 2021 ?

So if it's a pick after 6 in next years draft, the Celtics will get it in. If it is a top 6 pick. then we will get it unprotected in 2021.

Bucks got worse. Raps will likely get worse. Philly arguably got worse. Indy will still not have Dipo for a bit. Nets won't have KD all year, and are likely not improved in short-term. Magic and Pistons not doing anything. Hornets just replaced Kemba and Kaminsky with Rozier.

That was the rest of the top 9 in the East, fwiw (Hornets on a tiebreaker over Heat, who aren't much to worry about, either).

If Kawhi stays in Toronto, the top 3 are most likely going to be identical. If not it will be a top 2, and then a sagging welterweight class of mid 40 win teams including us, BK, Miami and Toronto.

Yeah they’re paying Iggy a slightly surprising amount. Wouldn’t touch him.

He's not on my list for a reason. Brad let the kids and Kyrie ruin that locker room. What do you think Boogie is gonna do once he tries bullying Time Lord or the rookies?

He’s gonna be on his best behavior because he’s got one foot out the door of the league.
