I have no idea what Houston is doing. It looks like they are trying to do everything, all at once.

There are going to be some bargains available, the way some of these teams are accumulating and spending. Garuba is gone, and they drafted Cam Witmore. If he pans out maybe Tari Eason shakes loose. Rockets could make the playoffs or bust.

They're like OKC, tons of picks and players coming in and out.

If Dame truly wanted to play for a winner

Brogdon/Grant S&T 14 mil per/Pritchard/Champagnie is 42.5 mil, Dame is 46.6 mil. Boston can offer plenty of picks and a 3rd team could get involved

Dame/White/vet min
Brown/vet min
Tatum/Hauser/Walsh
Porzingis/Brissett/vet min
Rob/Al/Luke

Porzingis must be wondering why this guy is such an idiot why sitting next to him.

Yep we ain't winning a ring until he's fired.

I honestly don't think he's going to be doing a lot of coaching this year. Mostly just learning listening and being the figurehead. Cassell is the guy and Lee is his assistant

So if miami can find a third team to send tyler hero to for draft assets, it looks like the deal with dane will go through

Dallas and brooklyn are said to be interested in being the third tea.

Feels like the Hawks the last year they had cap space. Just threw money at everything they could

Bron effect. Get average players overpaid on the incumbent team and then leave them with the mess to deal with

The pelicans did amazing in that trade.

Ingram, ball and picks which turned into zion

More like Ingram + picks and ball which turned into trash. Zion was their own pick. The Lakers pick was #3 in a 2 man draft which they traded down to get Jaxson Hayes...who has now signed with the Lakers.

On paper it was one of the better packages the Lakers gave up tho, even though Ingram was damaged goods at the time. But everything else turned into dust.

Miami's future picks could be good for Portland because of their age...but I don't think Pels have gotten much out of thst trade but Ingram...Dyson Daniels...one more likely worthless pick in the next 2 years (maybe it could be good in 2025). I guess they kind of flipped some of the assets for McCollum. At the time seemed like a good haul, but it's turned out to be average.

Absolutely bonkers I agree. He should have been open and said “trade the 3 pick for a vet I want to play with or trade me”

He kept stringing it along.

-Keep Brogdon, but that means we don't use TPMLE and let Grant walk (or get a TPE or draft compensation for him in a S&T)
-We fill out the roster with vets minimum guys: bring Griffin back. Sign Javonte and Banton

C Rob
PF Porzingis
SF tatum
SG Brown
PG White

Bench: Brogdon, Al, Hauser, Pritchard, Javonte, Griffin, Kornet, Brissett, Banton

15th spot, either Davison or Walsh. The other one can have a 2-way. Or maybe you give Champagnie the last roster spot, with JD and Walsh both as 2-ways. See how Summer league goes and then decide.

Roster continuity / roster stability is GOOD. Pretty much all of these guys were with us last year. That's a lot of guys who have chemistry together and are super motivated to back back strong and make sure that this season ends better than the last! 6 of our top 7 guys were with us last year. Same top 7 as last year except KP instead of Smart (big upgrade). Javonte has familiarity with our players and with Mazzulla from his first stint in Boston - plus he's Tatum's close friend. Griffin and Kornet are fine as 4th/5th bigs. Last year they were our 3rd/4th bigs and we were 1st in the league in net rating. And Now we have KP, plus a healthy Rob (Rob missed the whole 1st half of the season last year). Mine as well bring Griffin and Kornet back - any other big we get probably won't be that much better than them - and griffin/kornet already know our system and fit in well here (on the court and off).

Plus, Brissett played with Brogdon in Indiana. Banton played with Champagnie in Toronto.

This is a good team :)

No one jumps out as a clear cut 8th man on a playoff team, but:
a) we improved our top 7 guys going from Smart to KP and come playoff time it's really your top 7 that matters most - the 8th man doesn't play a whole lot in the playoffs - maybe just 8-12 MPG.
b) I'll take my chances that one of these guys emerges as a solid 8th man by the end of the season: Hauser, Pritchard, Banton, Javonte, Brissett...with Walsh as a darkhorse. But more likely it would be either Hauser, Pritchard or Green. Pritchard was the 8th man in our rotation when we went to the finals a year ago.

This roster gives us some nice variety off the bench. You want the wing shooter, put in Hauser. You want the wing who is a defender, has athleticism, can really get out and run in transition so we get some easy baskets - Green. You want to put in the wing who is a good playmaker and ball handler - Banton. You want the wing with more size, strength, who can crash the boards - Brissett. You want to put in the energizer bunny who plays scrappy and can shoot - Pritchard. You want to put in a big man energizer bunny who can take charges and dive on the floor - Griffin. You want a big man with more size at 7'2", who can block shots and catch lobs - Kornet. You want to put in one of our young guys to develop them - or if they are ahead of schedule in their development so they're ready for more minutes - put in JD or Walsh.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Probably Charlotte or Dallas.

Idk if Dallas has enough cap space. Would probably be a S&T with Dallas sending back some salary (either to Boston or to a 3rd team)..

Headline of "Brown still expected to sign extension" reminds of the probability of Hillary winning the election hanging on at 70-80% when the writing was already on the wall.

Gonna nickel and dime him even though won't realistically help us and might make the whole thing fall apart

YES we need a couple tough guys, not loud mouths

kP and Jays is the most polite big 3 in NBA history

Last thing we need is another vocal whiner to make the refs angry
Be polite, shut your mouth and play ball
Denver is a good example where the most vocal person on the team was the coach

We don't have 3xMvp making perfect play after petfect play while doing it all at whatever speed he wants haha.

I'm not even talking about being vocal, esp not with refs !

KP Rob Jays and Dwhite all VERY very very sweet guys ...pontificating JB prob the most intense out of that group haha no killers there
I think BRogs is kind of a killer if he stays, but I think we have to add some GRIT

yeah it's so funny watching the whole country turn to **** because just enough morons in PA, WI, and MI decided they liked having an orange hateful dumbass in charge to ruin everything.
