Bender at 1.

Buddy at 21.

I dont know whats crazier. Someone taking Bender over Simmons/Ingram or Hield falling to 21.

The more I think about it the more I want nothing to do with Hield. Unless you're elite on one side of the court, you can't be completely awful on the other side (and even then it's questionable). Hield's shooting might be elite, but nothing else he does on offense is close to it. He's an undersized SG in a league where they keep increasing in size and I don't think he'll ever be even an average defender. At 3 I'm not even thinking about him and at 16 I'm taking one of the surplus of bigs in this draft even if we pick Bender. At 23 I might depending on who's left on the board.

The Chad Fraud Boston picks: Dunn, Zizic, Diallo. A point guard, then a big center followed by a small center. A strange fit with the top pick there, which would have to mean Bradley or Smart, plus Rozier, would have to go.

He says Celtics want, at 3, Dunn or J Murray or Chriss. Only Murray, who can shoot and score, wouldn't be a disappointment unless lots of other changes happen too. Poeltl at 12, Sabonis at 20, they would be draft slides.

I'd be happy with either Dunn or Bender at #3. No Chriss unless he's there at #16.

So we are moving Smart/Bradley/Rozier on then? - That's if we take Dunn

If Danny drafts Dunn, I'm expecting him to trade at least 1 of Rozier/Smart/RJ, maybe even 2...
Good assessment:

I'm still on the Bender bandwagon. Maybe I'm wrong, but the he's 18, he's 7'1", he could grow even further, he's shooting 3s already, he can block shots. He just needs to gain weight, I think he could be the star/best player of this year's draft in a few years.

I think his Murray, Hield, and Bender ratings are off, but he did produce this https://deanondraft.com/2016/06/03/teenage-mutant-ninja-poeltl/

I like Chriss and Brown, but not in top 5. They are incomplete players atm. Brown has athletic ability. IMO Brown is like RHJ. Brown and RHJ both need to improve their jumper and handle. Brown and RHJ both play defense. RHJ was more accomplished defensive player, but I think Browns jumper is a little better. Chriss is just more of a put back guy. He can shoot, but his defense is average and his rebounding poor. If he had a handle he could be a three.

Potential is like a beautiful siren that lures GMs to their deaths.

Brown is WORLDS better on offense as a raw freshman than RHJ ever was. Their areas of improvement are similar, so I think the point you're making is accurate, but Brown is starting from a much higher point both athletically and offensive skill wise.

The more I think about it, the more I think Brown is the guy. Ainge loves athletic, multipositional players who were former top prospects. Also, that comment Stevens made to Brown ("You would love it here") seems like he was trying to sell Brown on why he should come here and not vice versa. His connection to Isiah Thomas(and his subsequent connection to Isaiah Thomas) also elicit this thought.

There's some smoke around Chriss. That makes me very nervous. If you like him trade back in the draft. Or cobble up you picks and trade up to 14.

Sorry, man. As long as it says Anthony Barber on his birth certificate, he'll be a late lottery guy. But I could easily see him using this diss as motivation.

Do we like Taurean Prince?

I read he also believes we'll trade Thomas. Not happening.

I prefer Chriss over Dunn, Murray, Brown, Hield, and Bender. Watch some tape and I think folks will agree. 6'10", athletic freak, and very skilled. He can shoot also. He can protect the rim. Watch this tape of his second to last game.

A trade for Okafor would be my second choice.

Hes doing all that against guys who are 6 5 and hes 6 10. He looks atheltic but he also looks slower than he may appear and not a lot in that tape screams 3rd overall to me

The Dean draft board leads me to this overwhelming question: does any draft guru have the slightest idea where any player is being drafted this year? The uncertainty that had been there after the first 3 picks has now infected the top of the draft. Hield at 21? Skal in the 2nd round? And who the hell is Chinanu Onuaku??

I see the opposite. That tape of Chriss (and others like it) screams #3 overall pick in my eyes. Of course we're talking about an 18 year old kid so this is far from an exact science.

Interested in other's thoughts.

Chriss and Gallo would be a solid coup for the 3 if he drops to 7 and Denver is in love with a prospect.
