Very much doubt it's true, but it's funny

I was so trying to be the one to announce this "rumor" :D

I personally believe there is some truth to it at minimum.

You can't shoot a basket on an inbound, so how can that be goaltending?

When you're right you're right, my bad. Thanks.

I'm sure there's plenty of Hee-Haw reruns for people who are so turned off by "woke" NBA players to watch anyways so all is fair.

Personally I'm excited that the league is going to work on improving how they call "hunted" fouls, I'd love to see more no calls on the Trae, Harden, Embiid style flailing plays. Even if they don't get them all right it'll lessen the value of the move to the point that if they continue with the foul hunting it'll be detrimental to their teams rather than a bonus. Please, please get this right NBA.

that doesn't even financially work. I still think a KP for Hayward is a good idea for both teams

It still can be offensive basket interference if the player initially touches the ball while it is inside the cylinder (and above the rim). It's the "downward flight" and some other goaltending criteria that don't matter unless there is a FG attempt.

Rule 11 section 1b:

[A player shall not] Touch any ball from within the playing area when it is above the basket ring and within the imaginary cylinder.

No requirement that there is a FG attempt or a chance to score.

I don't think it matters. Both players will miss the bulk of the season with injuries, so it boils down to which team is paying the most for rehab.

Someone said Oubre. I'm a fan. He'd be a really nice fit in Boston. Wonder if his injury is rehabbing well and if it bring his cost down.
