If I did the arithmetic correctly, Semi scored 45 points in 104 minutes in the bubble, with 36 of those points -- i.e. 80% of his total -- coming on 12-31 3pt shooting.

That's about as pure as 3-and-D gets.

I'm happy for him, really hate his entire game, though. He can only guard certain players, doesn't impress me at all on the defensive end, and his entire offense is just stand in the corner and hit threes at league average at best efficiency. One of the best stretches of his life and he puts up 45 pts on 37 shots.

sadly, that's better than anyone else we have on the bench.

i think semi gets the biggest bump in PT with gordo out. he can match up against harris, and even embiid.

Maybe, but he played zero minutes yesterday so why would they go to Semi when Grant and Romeo were the last two guys off the bench in Game 1? I like Grant and Romeo better in this series, against Toronto too, and Semi maybe against Milwaukee if it gets to that. I dunno maybe I'm just a Semi hater. Grant did more in one possession where he grabbed two offensive boards than I've seen Semi do in his entire career thus far. What play has Semi Ojeleye ever made? Corner threes and he is a stout defender who somehow doesn't ever cause a turnover.

I mean its not entirely his fault for the injuries but damn nothing good came out of this signing.

Sheed
Knight
Jermaine O Neal.
Dominique
Gugliotta
Blount (they resigned him. F him)
Also can't forget Never Nervous.

Gordon is nowhere near the suck on that list.

Most of those players were washed up/past their primes. The rest are jokes.

Hayward was an allstar in the west when we signed him...this has to be - now that I look back maybe The worst free agent signing in Celtics history.

It's definitely the worst in terms of what they got for the money, but they haven't really had a chance to sign max guys in the last 30 years so it's not a long list of players to compare him to. Horford, Hayward, Kemba. I'm sure an analysis of every Celtics FA signing would have Horford and Hayward as the two worst in terms of value per dollar. And Kemba third if he remains an injury concern going forward. Gugliotta signed a 1/2.7mm deal, hardly fair to compare him to Hayward.
