Celts had 31 assists against the Hornets because Grant and Josh were making their 3-point shots.

This is what the Celts need to address at the trade deadline.

A guy like Buddy Hield will make a difference.

You're lying if you're going to tell me the Sixers are not better off with Marcus Smart than Ben Simmons.

Smart's trade value is at an all-time high right now.

If I'm the Sixers, having Smart instead of Simmons is an upgrade.

Will Brad trade Marcus Smart?

We'll know for sure in one week.

Plenty of ammo to go get a quality player. I still think they are just going to move Schroder and get under the tax but it will be interesting to see what they do at the deadline.

Celtics could very easily be 31-25 and and right on the edge of the 6th seed and trending upward about 2 days before the trade deadline.

I wonder if that changes their thinking? Probably not but very interesting.

I don't think short term wins and losses makes a difference. It is what type of deal can you make? I think the interest in Beasley is telling. They know they need more scoring. Can they get a guy that fits or are they better off trying to squeeze it out of the guys they have that can also defend.

That could have an opportunity to get a guy that fits and still not go after him because of the tax. We just don’t know what the plan is for the Celtics. Lot of speculation but we won’t know until Feb 11th

Celtics no longer have the Kemba Walker TPE and have a new $6.9 Juancho TPE.

$6.9, $9.7 and $17.1 Celtics TPEs.

Celtics have some tools if they choose to use them

ok, hear is my try.

Beal to Boston

Schroder to Pho

Jalen Smith to Wash from Pho
Horford to Wash
Langford to Wash
Bos 2022 1st round pick to Wash
Bos 2023 1st round pick swap with Wash
Bos 2024 1st round pick to Wash
Bos 2025 1st round pick swap to Wash

2nd trade:
Bertans to Bos (into TPE)
2023 2nd round pick to Wash
Future 2nd round pick from Pho (from Schroder trade) to Wash

Why for Bos:
You know why, Smart, Beal, Brown, Tatum, R. Williams as starters, with Richardson, G. Will, PP, Bertans and Nesmith off the bench

Why for Pho:
Moves a player of no use and a real low 2nd pick for a backup PG that has playoff exp and can create own shot.

Why for Wash:
Horford is salary relief next season, period. Young players to try out in Langford and Smith. Then there are the picks. 2 unprotected 1sts, 2 pick swaps, and 2 2nds. Lots of financial flexibility, couple young players that can be released if don't want with no financial problems and picks.

Such a wealth of interesting ways to get rid of Schroder in this thread. Will be shocking when Brad does something that no one's thought of.

I would love to see the Schroder for Jalen Smith rumor resurface.

We could use a young athletic big to sub out Rob some. Plus, we'd be moving DS to the West so he won't come back to haunt us AND we can put Pritchard into the back up PG role...something I think needs to happen.

I have posted similar trades and I think, should beal claim he is walking, this would be by far the best deal Washington will get.

They arent taking SImmons for Beal no matter what Philly fans claim and getting of Bertrans monstrous contract for FREE is HUGE.

I can see ownership willing to pay tax for that team. It is, arguably, the most lethal team in the league.
Not many, if ANY, Trios would sport that much firepower.

Washington in
Smith, Romeo, Horford, Boston 22, 24 1sts, Swap with Boston 23,25 Rights to Yam Madar, Phoenix 2nd

Phoneix in

Orlando in

Boston in
Beal and Holiday and Bertrans from Washington
R. Lopez from Orlando

Smart/Pritchard/Holiday
Beal/Richardson/Thomas
Brown/Nesmith/Hauser
Tatum/Grant/Bertrans
Williams/Lopez/Kanter

Depth chart
1) Tatum
2) Brown
3) Beal
4) Smart
5) Timelord

What role would Sexton fill on this team?

Scorer off the bench?
Trade Balast?

I mean, If I thought that a signed and traded Sexton would be an asset to help get Beal in the offseason then I make that deal easy peasy

He'd represent some flexibility. He could be playable or tradeable. He could be a starter if another team demands Smart in a big deal.

Will include in right deal, but not giving away:
Horford, Langford, Bol

Take first offer you get, if you even get one.
Freedom, Bruno, Dozier

Get him the h@ll off this team ASAP.
Schroder

I think most would agree with this.
I don't. Tatum Brown and Rob should be the only untouchables.

Smart and Josh Richardson should be what takes a lot.

All this really does is assert that this team only needs minor tweaks and Bradley Beal to win a championship. The only scenario where I see this working out is if the team continues to buy in, smart continues to demonstrate that he's no longer a bonehead, and Tatum turns into a top 5 player.

That's a lot to bank on, but if you want to win a championship you're going to have to make more players than this available. Otherwise you might as well be trading fruit

Great to see the team playing better finally. It's funny how teams tend to get their sh&t together right around the trade deadline. Anyhow, I'm still interested to see what Brad can pull off to improve the roster. As we know, this is his first trade deadline....If his first offseason is any indication of how he'll handle the deadline, I'm thinking we can expect some moves. Shooting & tax apron being the main objectives while keeping the core together. I don't think we will see anything nuclear in-season unless he Beal situation reaches a boiling point and it's now or never to acquire him. Teams are 100% calling on Beal. So Boston needs to be careful about not letting Beal get to another team like Philly, GS, etc.

Hey, I'm the first one to push for a Smart trade. I'd be thrilled to see him go for a shooting role player, that's it. I think bringing in a shooter and losing Smart is a huge win.

But even I wouldn't let him go for Simmons! Everything's Smart does, Simmons does that a much higher level.

But the dude seems like a basket case. Something's not right with him and I think he would f****** the chemistry up.

Can Bradley Beal play point guard?

If he ends up here, and Smart remains, you gotta bring Smart off the bench, no? Beal is a good enough passer, Tatum is a good enough playmaker, you don't really need Smart's passing in the starting lineup at that point.

But off the bench, he can really help create for whatever bench pieces we'd have. I would think the bench unit would need more playmaking stability than the starters.
