Hope you're not generalizing 'cos there are people on this forum that have supported going after Noel (more than Okafor) long before the other rumors surfaced. It's just he hasn't been talked about much since the Okafor crowd has been louder (numerous pages spent debating on the guy) and there's always the star target of the week (KD, Griffin, Westbrook, Boogie) to talk about last July.
Can't think of a single person and I read this forum daily. Not saying you're wrong but even I never pushed for him.
But I do remember most of this forum hating on him intensely in those Okafor conversations. Would always get bashed if I said I liked his game a lot so I gave up. Not like I watch him live a ton and know what I'm talking about or anything.
Dude.. Dude.. Et tu, Truth
I've been defending Noel for at least a year, just based on his potential and on normal development curves. He's not a sure thing, but there's a lot to still be excited about, and he's young.
Cat-quick, insane hops.. Took a step back last year in defensive stats, including blocks and steals, I think. Still learning, not a great rebounder, will be lucky to develop a midrange shot, small chance he gets a post game. Not great passer, not great hands, but showed a ton of efficiency improvement in the P&R with Ish Smith. Elite defensive potential, like I think his floor is still prime Theo Ratliff. Has agility to guard three positions, gets in passing lanes like Smart.
My bad, I totally forgot about you. Yeah, you have defended him way more than me.
I feel exactly the same way you do. Really exciting potential and I think he would thrive under Brad.
