It's never really been a doubt for PG to me, so the rouse wasn't very good. You know there has to be LA tampering all over these FA's and Kawhi.

LA is basically being held over a barrel by SA for Kawhi then. If the Lakers sign PG and LeBron, they will not be able to sign Kawhi in 2019. They’ll need to meet their price or they’ll never get him.

If I’m Ainge, I’d personally only consider trading for Kawhi once the Lakers are eliminated from signing him. At that point, Kawhi would need to understand that he needs more options other than the Lakers. We’d suddenly become a lot more appealing long term.

Finally, my last prediction is that LA turns its attention to Jimmy Butler and offers Ingram+Kuzma for him and that Thibs accepts.

Yep, we know what Lebron and PG are planning, the real key is Kawhi. I hope if San Antonio trade him there that they really do at least clean house. If I was San Antonio we would have to be pretty satisfied with the trade if you're going to be nice enough to hurry this along for LA.

Deng&Ball to Phoenix for PHO first rounder (with some top 5 protection)

Than Lakers Combine pho pick, 2 their future first rounders, Ingram, Hart for Kawhi.

This makes more sense than my guess.
Let Lakers burn away all their assets only to lose in WCF.

This is a hysterical take. If the draft were redone with hindsight being 20/20. Lonzo Ball wouldn't be a lottery pick. He shoots 45% from the free throw stripe. His shot is as bad as Bill Cartright's free throw mechanics and maybe worse. Lonzo ball with his baggage would probably be selected in the 20's somewhere in a redraft. He'd probably be on a playoff team cause he gets drafted so low. There is not a chance in hell the Sun's give a draft pick with a top 5 protection on it. I would assume they'd put full lottery protections on it. Basically, I'm saying, Lonzo Ball's a bust at this point. Likely out of the league after his rookie contract. his rookie season was as bad as Austin Rivers rookie season accept Austin had a pillow to fall back on with his Dad helping him through his career. Lonzo's got his dad. I'm not saying Phoenix won't take a flyer on Lonzo, I'm just saying, knowing what they now know, Lonzo's a salvage project. He's a car wreck.

Deng, Kuzma, Ball, Ingram, picks to Spurs

Kawhi, Danny Green to Lakers

Lakers then only have 4 other guys under contract each making under 2 million. They would have roughly 65 million in cap space. Sign LeBron and either George or CP3, DeAndre Jordan (if he opts out), or Cousins. Or they could pass on a max FA and use the cap space to sign 2 guys like Bradley and Randle. Regardless seems like a very attractive route for them and the best package the Spurs could hope for.

The Spurs aren't going to eat the Deng Sandwhich. The only reason for LAL to overpay is if it lands Lebron if it doesn't then they should chill. At this point I think if your LAL you want Lebron to opt out then you have a clear advantage with trying to put something together. You do not want to trade for Leonard and James.

I am also not sure I buy the whole Leonard to LA thing. He seems like a bright dude, if Lebron is coming West my ass would be going East.
