I honestly believe Durant is a higher probability than AD but that’s just my opinion

Couldn't the celtics sign him outright if Kyrie bolts and Al opts out?

Will Durant be willing to come to Boston for the mid-level exception? If not, Ainge had better dump a boatload of salary between now and next Thursday. Golden State has zero incentive to do a sign and trade to get Durant to his preferred destination. Wanna leave, Kevin, and still get paid? Try the Knicks.

I agree. The way Ryan B outlined it is exactly how it would happen.

if anything, the KD deal would come first, followed by an AD deal.

Durant can opt in the his current deal and get traded just like Chris Paul did to go to Houston.

Golden State has already stated they are open to the idea

Why not just pay him Max, go over salary cap and pay the tax?

If Golden State is open to the idea, it's on their terms. Otherwise they keep Durant for another year and win another championship.

I BELIEVE THIS BECAUSE THIS NARRATIVE BENEFITS MY TEAM.

Honestly, true or false, it’s good to have at least one leak go our way. You telling me Kyrie doesn’t stay if KD comes? You telling me AD doesn’t want to be a part of that? Good to sow some seeds of doubt in the mind of New Yorkers and Los Angelinos.

Well, if the team really wants KD, Ainge would have to convince Al to opt out and take a significant pay cut, sign Kyrie and then sign KD on a 1+1 max deal with a PO, get over cap and pay the tax. I wouldn't do it, since Durant is a **** snake, but it's not me who says the final word, right? I bet Ainge would do it.

I don't ever recall a deadline week where the media is spinning so much of what is essentially fake news in attempt to influence decisions of stars (or how much phony misdirection is being leaked out of front offices for them to put out/same difference as far as results). It's funny because a lot of stars and players are on record that the media chatter gets in their heads and that they pay attention to it. LoL crazy times we live in.

Seriously? He will totally leave them for no return, creating incentive for them trading him.

I'd take him over AD. Despite all the hate he receives, he has the last two finals MVPs...owning LBJ (the self-proclaimed GOAT LOL) both times. It would also significantly weaken the best team in the league.

Merging this with the AD thread to contain intra-related discussions.
