They are discussing final details with the trade kicker/no clause. Ray as a competitor does not like the heat, but has respect for them understandably. Allen will receie a number close to the 2 year 12 million dollar deal reported. Details will come out later today. Ray wants to end his career with Boston. The beef with Rondo is way blown out of proportion. Take this anyway you want but this news will come out.

Just to be clear, the source is an inside Celtic executive. I'd post this on twitter but dont have am account.

Ballboy you better be right.

I've heard a lot recently from the C's. I really like this board, it's not crazy like the raps and Knicks board, it's just right for healthy discussion. I am a longtime reader of this board, so now that im on realgm, I'll post more stuff here. This is more out there but the celtics are finalizing a deal for Jeff Green. What isn't out there is that despite Green's absurd asking price (4/40$), Danny is negotiating on the lines now of 4 year 32 mill.

4/32 would be an excellent deal, more so if the last year isn't fully guaranteed.

That would ensure that:

1) Nearly all of our contracts are good value and thus can be used on a trade (something very important on the future, given that we won't have cap room for the next 3 years);
2) We will be able to use the full MLE next year and add another good piece to the roster.

All we now have to do to be set is re-sign Wilcox with the BAE, extend Moore for one more year and use the last roster spot on Stiemsma or Pietrus.

Rondo / Terry / Moore
Bradley / Ray / Pietrus
Pierce / Green / Joseph
Bass / Sully / JJJ
KG / Wilcox / Melo

That's depth.

Dooling and Camby/Steamer over Joseph and Wilcox.

If true I would expect more Twitter leaks relatively soon.

Joseph is already guaranteed and I doubt Camby would sign for the BAE.

I'm pretty sure Wilcox will be coming back (he seemed pretty good value for the money in his short stint here) and thus the real choice will be between Stiemsma and Pietrus.

EDIT: Dooling might be an option, but between him and Wilcox I'd go for the later. Unless, of course, Dooling agrees to sign for the vet min.

Well you have about 50% chance of being right, since he is only considering the Celtics and the heat. Not bad odds.

I don't think Joseph is necessarily guaranteed, is he? I only read Forsberg's little post about the rookies signing; said the team didn't release details on the contracts. Joseph and Moore are in a tenuous position. I'd be surprised if both make the opening night roster. I can't see Rondo, Bradley, Terry, Moore and Dooling on the roster. That's a lot of small guards. Joseph might be nice to have to "break in case of emergency" but if we need the spot for a big guy...

Hope he is correct.

Truth is I don't believe him though as I have some issues believing a ballboy named after the infamous vin baker though. A name like that tends to make me think he is messing with celtics fans.

Dooling is coming back. Fab melo apparently was told that jersey No. 51 was unavailable, which may have been a hint that 32-year-old reserve Keyon Dooling could re-sign.

I don't expect many to believe me, but this will be reported soon. I'll be making a name for myself around these parts soon. Later today it will be leaked, 100%
