"Can't stand" may be a bit strong (not telling you your own opinion, but for me).

The player on player fanboy duels are f*cking nauseating though. Everything else is solid.

This will end as soon as PP retires.

because there are no rondo fanboys.....

Haven't been posting but I always appreciate this board - thanks for all who kept it worth reading throughout this **** season.

Plus we'll always have CThug RIP@Healthpoint :reporter:

Ya, this is a great board. I don't tend to post a whole lot, frankly because there are some posters that know a heck of a lot more about BB than I do, and it's great to read their stuff.

My only criticism really (and it might just be because I don't know how to do it) is the lack of an ignore thread function, it's always nice to be able to be able to weed out stuff you have zero interest in. Not a big thing though.

Sorry it had to be said. We seem to have far too many fans of players and not enough Celtics fans.

This sounds way harsh. Can't put one way of liking a team over the other, unless it's open bandwagoning. The discussion is good no matter what way you cut it. Plus, out of disagreement comes a good debate. The key thing is not to degrade the debate to a level of insults and ad hominem. And I think C's RealGM fares very well in the category.

This board is by far the best for the C's talk and have the most knowledgeable posters.

I agree with GrandTheftRondo though. I enjoy debating with the people who have been around here since the early days. I have a harder time w/ the new folks. Not because their opinions are worth less, but it's harder for them to put into context certain discussions and they get way to defensive of people having different opinions.

Not all, but a lot.

Yeah, the ESPN Celtic board was fun for a few years but is a great example of how a couple of morons with nothing better to do can single-handedly destroy an un-moderated message board. I basically left there for good in 2005; I think I have only even been there once or twice in the past eight years. Although I have seen the occasional moderator here be a little too trigger-happy in issuing warnings or locking threads for my taste, it is still FAR better than the alternative..

This is by far the best place for Cs talk. Can't believe it's been 10 years for me.

I am not able to post much but I do read when I get the chance. Most of my time these days is spent with Puba Droolin' Dogula and you know how that guy demands your attention.

He's been plagueing the KFFL Non-Sports Talk forum for a while, with a lot of conspiracy crap, some of it seriously antisemitic.

Tacko Fall

Post#31 » by thomas1897 » Tue Jul 23, 2019 1:37 am

The Celtics traded multiple players for Kyrie Irving and what did they get? Redemption is something the Celtics Management has had over the history of this franchise. Danny Ainge is an exceptional GM who sees opportunity and value in players very similar to the genius of Arnold Red Auerbach. All said what can the Celtics lose but how much can they gain? Hello I would like to have any comments, opinions or questions. Thanks

The loses of Kyrie and Al Horford and the trading of Baynes seem to have created a void. The Celtics Organization has been built on how to rebuild re-tool and develop young players through a system that works. Just feast your eyes on the rafters of the Boston Garden to the new arena. Kemba Walker for Kyrie drama or playing good team basketball to win is the question to be answered. An older player( Al Horford) who is a very savvy and cerebral player but for how long playing excessive minutes and not providing a strong low post game. This was a weakness last year when the team fired up a lot of long distant shots. Kawahi Leonard did not take too many long distant shots but see how effective Toronto was. Enes Kanter is a very effective scorer inside out and is more talented than Baynes. Daniel Theis is very good at the 4 or 5 spot and is a decent scorer, rebounder and defender. Marcus Morris can be replaced by the trio Tatum, Hayward and Brown they all can score enough with something left to be given to Marcus Smart, Wanamaker and Semi Ojeleye and the rookies. Now it is up to Brad Stevens to demonstrate again he is a very good coach given the right mix of players. They(the players) have to respect the coach and accept the system he wants to use and play good Celtic basketball for the entire season no excuses.

Locking this. Crazy old thread. Unrelated new comments. There is some good stuff in there, so put it on the general offseason thread if you want to discuss it. Paragraphs might be a good suggestion as well. :)
