Rozier didn't play as hard as Olynyk though. Okay, I'm done I promise.

Why is he so soft? I don't understand. The pump fakes were on full display today. :noway:

BTW, 45 wins is our biggest win total since 2010-2011 I believe. Still have an outside shot at 50 if we win out the rest of our games. That would be something..damn. Hope Turner is ready to play soon. Don't think we need him for that NOP game though..so we can afford to rest him up til Saturday against the Bucks.

Luckily we have a few days until the next game. NOP shouldn't take too much beat. I think we can take them without Smart and Turner. Give them til Saturday to rest and they should be ready for the game against the Bucks.

Voted for Thomas. 26 points in only 29 minutes. 10-20 from the field. 4-9 from 3's. 6 assists as well.

Turner was solid with 17, 4, and 4. Hope he is ok.

Crowder didn't shoot well but was also very solid with 22 points, 5 steals , 4 rebounds and 4 assists.

Amir had a great first quarter but didn't do much after.

I love the way Rozier rebounds. He did that in college too. Once he starts making shots, look out.

5 games to 50. Tough, but still very doable. Go get the next one at home against New Orleans, and take it from there.

Voted Rozier, on the doesn't-always-have-to-go-to-the-best-player principle, and because I badly want to believe that at least one of our picks from last year is going to be a player. Just nice to see a rookie get 20+ minutes, stats are gravy. 6/7/3, 0 TOs, +10. I'll take it.

I don't have the thread handy, but I believe the majority voted 45 wins as the predictor, so they have met expectations with 5 games to go above it. I can't be upset with this season overall. They are, I believe after letting Lee go, the youngest team in the NBA... and with that, they be will gaining playoff experience with a lottery pick on the way. Not a bad position to be in for a team looking to rebuild. Fingers crossed on that lottery...

Too bad to have two injuries coming out of LA....but that's what you expect from them...Their season was over with a long time ago...

And going back in the Celtic's - Laker history....There have been some "by mistake on purpose" injuries inflicted by both sides...

That's the nature of the beast...

Did anyone notice the scrub thug who grabbed IT just before the half? It was a ploy to get IT upset...and IT ended up getting a tech when he responded....I'd bet they were hoping to get someone suspended....

It's the oldest trick in the book...and perhaps the only chance they had at that point to get back in the game...I'm sure they were hoping for more reactions but cooler heads prevailed...

Anyway...I hope Evan can make it back in time for the playoffs and i hope Marcus isn't hurt too bad....

As far as the cigar vote....I gave it to Crowder for his defensive contributions....He had five steals....and 20 some odd points....

Jae had a pretty decent night by most standards....I just hope these injuries don't derail the chance we have to get home court advantage for the first round of the playoffs....

Hate the frig-in Lakers....They suck!

Since KO came back from injury... he and Rozier each grabbed 28 total rebounds. Rozier did it in 64.5 less minutes of floor time.

Rozier would have gotten 12 rebounds if we per 36'ed his numbers. That's crazy for a guard, and it's definitely not a fluke. He's done it a crazy amount of times for how little games he's played. Does anybody have a good analysis on how his defense is?

More impressive considering the fact Stevens was figuring out his rotations for almost half a season. 19-19 (.500) before David Lee was benched. 26-13 (.667) ever since.

Stevens' regular rotation sans Lee and with either Bass or Amir in the lineup is now 46-24, essentially a 54-win team, since IT arrived. 60 next season is in the cards if Danny can make the right moves in the offseason.

I guess they can be happy with whatever they're doing.... lol... Tanking, losing and building up your draft picks isn't a guarantee though, and you have to be smart about the process all the way. Even when we purposely tanked for Duncan, we ended up with the opportunity for Billups AND McGrady together in that draft. We just screwed it up. You can work out great like San Antonio did on their tank, or you could be a laughing stock every year like the same 10 or so teams we see at the bottom every year. The Lakers have their work cut out for them. I like that Boston is in the playoffs, young, and have solid draft positioning for the future. They also won't be hampered down with cap issues if they are looking to sign a free agent.

Ainge put the team in decent position...need some luck on our side now...

Fingers. Crossed.

Probably should have gone with IT, but I went with Marcus. Although he wasn't really scoring, he definitely made his impact on the game, getting his hands on a ton of loose balls and he got to the paint consistently and created for teammates. I thought this was one of his better games, and if he can consistently get into the paint and create for others, the layups and mid-range game will open up for him.
