Read something earlier about the Cs and how come the spring everyone will be laughing at the Cs and their “win streak” because they are very Hawksish. Toronto, Washington and Cleveland are all superior.

I want to know what drugs these so called analysts are, and how can I get a job to replace these morons?

Team defense isn't easy to analyze
Lack of players who were an all-star last year
Lack of DPOY, all-nba defense players for a #1 overall defense. That's rare.
Team full of unknown first NBA minutes and inconsistent vets in Brown/Smart/Rozier
Points to this team getting down big almost every game as signs of non dominance

Basically they're sticking with the conventional wisdom about the team after Hayward went down and calling it a fluke.

Which, I get. Young players always lose, it's safer to bet on teams that have played together and gone through it all and have vets that are proven.

I think they are underestimating though... that team defense and rebounding are not only generally a consistent every single game... but in the playoffs these teams tend to over perform as the refs swallow their whistle.

I can see them saying we're not beating CLE or GS. But at this point they have to look at it and wonder if the common place wisdom would work with WAS and TOR. TOR's stars have faltered in the playoffs often, and WAS is known to have depth issues.

I also think everyone needs to start talking about the Pistons a lot more. Sure we're getting some disrespect... but DET is NEVER mentioned and always dismissed... yet they're 9th in offensive rating and 12th in defensive rating. They can beat you with whatever your weakness is because they're just a machine without one.

I know we're lucky getting our easiest schedule of the season in Nov and getting a game once every other day very consistently...

but I'm still sad every day this team isn't playing hahaha. Just want to see the young guys show more, see how our team is improving. See the answers to just how good they are right now with signs for the future.

**** I wish we were playing today haha

I'm surprised with how bad the Mavs have been, at least record wise. I'm expecting a tough game, especially with the way we're struggling offensively.

Our next 2 games are pretty easy but then we play Detroit and a few other decent teams. Idk how long we can keep this up..we're due for a letdown game. But 19 is definitely possible. And this team is good but also has loads of room for improvement offensively. Exciting time to be a Celtics fan.

Another trap game. Dallas always plays us well. We're definitely the better team but they can surprise us. If we play D we got this.
Good assessment:

C's aren't allowed to lose until they've gotten at least 20 in a row. I have spoken.

Celtics slowly making progress each game. Let's try to keep our first quarter deficit to under 14.

Your right about that.
I legit been happy since we got brad stevens but when rookies are hustling and free agents are now accepting us the to next 10 years look promising.

I wonder where Dennis Smith was on Danny’s draft board. Almost certainly top five. Maybe even top three? We worked him out twice and Smith said he knew we liked him.

The Theis is the best German basketball player in the game.

He is the second best?

This guy was their best player against the Bucks, when the tanking team accidentally won?

Their Canadian version of Bill Wennington.

Dallas, to get Dwight Powell, they traded away Guerschon Yabusele, Demetrius Jackson, Semi Ojeleye and 25% of Kyrie irving.

He must of had him high. Man this really is the deepest draft of all time.

That said before people realized Simmons was an all-star as a rookie and Tatum could hit a 3 and play defense, and Dirk should have retired... Dennis Smith was the A1 choice for Rookie of the Year.

I really can't remember the last time there's been so many rookies being so impressive in their rookie years as this one.

The poor sophomore team at the all-star break this year, I imagine Simmons will be on the rookie team so it'll be something like.

Simmons/ DSJ / Fox
Donovan Mithchell
Tatum/ OG Anunoby
Lauri Markkanen/Kyle Kuzma
Jorden Bell/John Collins

vs

Jamal Murray / Kris freaking Dunn
Buddy Hield?
Jaylen Brown
Bradan Ingram
Jakeob Poetel

Just a **** blood bath. At least a 100 point victory.

You can’t tell me teams aren’t gunning for us a bit more with our win streak. I’m all for keeping it going but I’m more interested in long term season success. Honestly not even sure where to put my expectations with this team. Does anything less then another ECF appearance do it? I mean technically THIS team hasn’t won a playoff series together so I honestly am at a loss. If they keep this up I fear I’m gonna need them to make the finals which seems unfair given that we don’t have Hayward. IDK? Go Celts!!
