Ainge is most likely going to sign a buyout guy to a multiple year deal using the MLE to use in a trade this summer so he can keep someone like Smart out of trade discussions in my opinion.

Should be interesting to see what the Celtics do.

Agree with this. So basically Tatum, Brown, Yabs, MLE Buyout guy and pick for AD...

Picks plural but that’s essentially the framework yeah.

Tatum and Brown seem to blow away the **** sandwich Magic is offering. I guess the Knicks could offer something better though...

Can’t give up Tatum and Brown unless he signs an extension. Can we do a S&T?

Can do an S&T with Rozier, but need Rozier to agree to go to NO...

Not for a guy who’s dad said he wouldn’t sign here. Who seems to be doing everything he can to go to LA.

He's not a free agent until 2020. Not following.

Could he sign the super max with NO and then be traded

Read on Twitter

1. Anthony Davis is my primary buyout target. He's probably not getting bought out.
2. I don't mind a career 38% 3-pt shooter playing spot minutes off the bench for us.
3. How much will/can we spend on a buyout player?
4. So I guess we're not avoiding the tax this season?

We need to get Kanter here just so he can tell Kyrie what a shithouse the knicks are everyday.

Any interest out there in Z-bo? Guy can still grab a board and get a bucket, not sure how much he has left in the tank though. Sounds like Dallas is gonna buy him out

Wes Matthews likely headed to the Warriors. Annoying. Would've been a good addition for Cs.

All that matters is a trade-able contract to facilitate an AD deal. On court help would just be a bonus.

The Celtics are probably going to do something with Bird tomorrow to create an open roster spot.

The big question is will Ainge do a small trade involving Yabusele, Ojeleye, Wanamaker etc. to create two open roster spots.

Probably going to be a large number of buyouts this year.

Should be a fun day tomorrow

Ainge is a loser if his does this. He offered the picks that are Smart, Rozier, Brown, and Tatum (as well as several other picks) in exchange for Anthony Davis when this rebuild started. To hand those players over now with more picks as if it was the same price to be paid is a total bitch move. To do it with nothing but one year left on his contract is pathetic. If Ainge includes Brown and Tatum in a deal for Davis he deserves to get turned out like he most likely will.

Could you imagine Pat Riley making that trade?

That guy is nearing retirement! DAJ would be ideal!

Return to Boston Celtics
