Now we’ll see if they can flip the switch. They should be motivated for this one

Should have been motivation for the Lakers as well as the clippers game after that horrendous loss but here we are. You cannot count on effort or motivation with this team

Let's show the league what we're still a force to be reckoned with. I am disgusted with the two LA losses as everybody is, but it's time to look forward now.

We always fare well against Philly. Let's beat the heck outta their overrated lineup and expose Simmons once more.

I fully expect confetti if they win. Maybe even if they lose, too. 8-)

JB wasn't pushed to the bench until after he'd pooped the court for two months in the starting lineup. His minutes didn't go down until then. Oh, and his usage is up to 22.2 from 21.4 last season. If there is one guy who seems to need an attitude adjustment on this team it is him. (And Kyrie, a what-he-says-to-the-media adjustment.)

everything points to a Celtics loss, but if we play a complete four quarters we can humble these boys....Need to rough these divas up / make them uncomfortable and let them know were still here!

Nah. This game screams Boston win.

Multiple days of rest. Everyone publicly calling them out and doubting them. Philly getting too comfortable/high on itself on unsustainably hot shooting.

Easy win. Celts by double digits.

While everything, absolutely everything points to a Philly win if there's no Baynes let alone also no Irving.

Boston's youth is the exact type of players that can make a game ugly and have an upset win.

Hope Stevens rides Rozier, Smart, Brown, Tatum in this one without Irving. And Hayward sees a lot of the bench. We need players on the court that can fight and compete. You're not beating the most talented starting 5 outside of GS by out talenting them with soft play from guys like Hayward. You have to make the game dirty and rebound if you get lucky.

That said Philly has a really fun team now. JJ is absurd as a 5th starter, but I think they've figured it out with JJ and Tobias as their support group. Those players are perfect in that reduced Bosh/Korver roles.

If Simmons ever actually got even a long mid range shot, I could see them giving the Warriors a run for their money but probably fail with JJ being exploited on defense. Besides that though they'd be a real threat.

The problem with the Deveney point is that the thing that is really hurting the value/perception of Jaylen and Terry is how they are handling the situation. If they were playing with the same effort and focus as last year (even with reduced touches) they would have increased or maintained their value, but to be undermining team chemistry because you aren't getting your touches is a really bad look.

Do you want to pay big money to a player that is will become toxic when things don't go their way?

I think Terry is really hurting his value by handling the situation the way he is. I mean what is having a bigger impact on his value around the league, coming off the bench or all the drama behind the scenes? Same question for Jaylen.
