Apparently this guy has Hercules strength but at that size I just don't see how he can get shots at his size without getting rejected.

He is back to back SEC player of the year so not a scrub. I don't love the pick but he could be really good if performance matters.

This pick left me at a bit of a loss. Brandon Clarke vs Grant Williams will really be one of those signature moments for Ainge.

I'm holding all judgments until I see him play since I don't know anything about him.

Agreed. 100%

Some of Danny's picks really puzzle me. This pick has JR. Giddens written all over it.

JR Giddens was an immature doofus who was entirely unprofessional.

Grant Williams may in fact be his polar opposite. Whatever Grant Williams is, he is mindbogglingly mature, intelligent and self-aware.

We had 22 and traded down from 20. MEM has 23 and hops over us (to 21) to take Clarke. That has to mean that we knew OKC wasn't taking Clarke, and MEM knew we were, right?

So we were taking Clarke at 20 or 22, got a little cute and got caught -- and quickly had to go with Williams as a plan B?

If so dddddaaaaamnit I wanted the good-sized athletic guy.

On come on. This is the day we are all experts, even if we have seen almost nothing of the guys drafted and don't know crap about basketball.

(And to be honest, even if I watch a kid play several games in college, I would not trust my judgement to rank that kid versus a bunch of other kids, even the ones I had seen. I just don't know scouting that well.)

Williams would been a great pick in the 2nd round after taking Little or Claxton in the first

This guy us a good player. Anyone watch Tennessee this year? This kid can play. Undersized 4, but he is a stretch 4 with thickness, strength and some athleticism. It was No. 22 in the draft, WTF more are we asking for again?

Seems like he has a good post game, a developing 3 point shoot, good rebounder, plays with energy, well spoken and bright kid who is a hard worker and wants to get better.

Would have liked him more if he was 6’9 with better hops, but I’m not going to count this kid out.

No I think Ainge wanted this guy more and didn't expect the draft to go the way it did. I think he jumped on Langford because he didn't think he would last till 20.

I think Ainge wanted an experienced guy at this part of the draft. I still think he hoped for Cam Johnson but that is my own preforance. It was his call and wanted this guy.

If he is strong enough and can shoot the NBA three it doesn't really matter if he is a little undersized at the four.

Read on Twitter
“There’s a sense of pride, there’s an edge you have to have to play here. I can only imagine the love, the reception, if you hung one of those banners up. It would be incredible — it’s going to be incredible. I know it.” —Jayson Tatum

This was my exact thought when MEM traded in, and I'd bet money Clarke was our guy at 22. However I think Danny wanted a later pick to take Edwards
