Mark Bartelstein client. Just like Gordon Hayward and Bradley Beal. ;)

Guess this is the room exception and the end of the S&T dream? Or, at least the 12th or 13th end. We may have a few more zombie scenarios left...

I like size and rebounding, and he’s moved up to being a net neutral on D. Still young. No complaints here and hope we can get him to become a more useful defender.

Beggars can't be choosers. Welcome to Boston, big fella.

And FWIW, we just got our most interesting quote machine since Evan Turner. He is hilarious in interviews and social media.

He was 7th in the league last year in rebounds per 36 minutes, behind:

Whiteside, Ed Davis, Drummond, DeAndre Jordan, Embiid and Gobert

Head to head against Embiid, Kanter has the rebounding edge through 7 games, but Embiid with a slight edge in points, blocks, and assists.

Embiid has never scored 30 against him, as 29 was his game high. Kanter had 31 points as his game high vs. Embiid.

Kanter is a solid signing. He does 2 things really well and rebounding is one of them. He's also been developing an outside shot which bodes well for his fit here. Excellent post scorer. Plays hard. Not a great interior defender, but also not a whimp. For that price tag you really cannot complain about this signing. Nice work Danny!

This can't be emphasized enough. He'll have to make up for the rebounds we lost with Horford, Baynes and Rozier.

Does anyone know if he needs shoulder surgery or if he had it already? His shoulder was pretty banged up in the playoffs.

For my own health, I need to stop going to the General Board. It's kind of unreal how biased people are.

People act like we told Kyrie to get out, weren't in on AD and didn't give Big Al a good deal that he just turned down.

I hope we kick ass and shut people up!

He has his flaws but he has some serious strengths too.

I honestly think we’re the most hated team on there. Probably because the Cs are the best franchise in the history of the league.

That is 100% THE BEST we could have hoped for with that exception.

We're playing Tatum or Hayward at the 4. The #1 concern is defense and rebounding, well Kanter is one of the best per 36 rebounders in the NBA.

Looks like we ain't going for a ring but we'll keep it fun.

I'm thrilled by the signing and he's a good big to have.

Way better than being left with an old Amir Johnson type guy to start at Center like we could have easiely been left with.

Kemba
Smart/Brown
Tatum/Brown
Hayward
Kanter

Yeah that's a lock for second tie 4th -6th (bump that up if Kawhi leaves TOR) seed. Right about the same as a Pacers team. With some potential if Brown,Tatum, or Hayward breaks out.

I'll take that.

Oh and if Kanter is an amazing fit he's only 27. He could stick around for a few years if this team catches fire.

I think we're done. Just bring back Theis and sign a vet. That's 14 spots.
Just when I was falling in love with my Meyers Leonard scenario. The Cody Zeller one is a bit sketchy. Dunno if it'll work.

I’m just betting the over every game next year, we’re not defending anybody, a front court of Kanter/Tatum/Hayward? Please

I honestly think he can do that easily if he's forced to play 30m a game.

Here's another fun one:

Since he entered the league in 2011, he has the 4th most offensive rebounds (behind only Drummond, Jordan, and Thompson). Per 36 minutes, he's 2nd only to Drummond in that same span.

We kept crying for a rebounder, Ainge delivered.
