If you're describing it correctly, then the pick DEFINITELY goes to either Boston or Philly. And unless they have one of the top records in the league, which they won't, then specifically it goes to Philly.

In essence, they traded us a fake pick, but traded Philly a real one.

Yeah another pick. Wonder what bust Ainge will pick next.

I will give you Siakim and Vanfleet for one of your picks. Oh never mind Ainge would never get tricked in giving up a beloved pick.

what you want to happen with the MEM pick is a good test of if you're a real true river city gambler.

me? I want it to come in #7 this year. Otherwise Morant and CrowderKeg are leading MEM to the WCF next year -- no doubt.

You guys have the second round pick stuff off...

Boston has their own pick if it is 31-53 or it goes to Charlotte if it is 54-60.
Atlanta's pick goes to Philadelphia if it is 31-55 or to Boston if it is 56-60. This is the "fake" first that ATL sent to BOS for Jabari Bird.
Boston has the less favorable of Brooklyn and New York with the other one going to Philadelphia. This pick came from PHI to ORL to CHA to BOS via the Terry Rozier S&T.

So, the most likely is that Boston has their own pick and Brooklyn's pick in the second round. If the Celtics finish with one of the best 7 records, they'll likely only have Brooklyn's pick.

Considering they were good last year, this is a shocker as they might bottom out, lol.
Good assessment:

Coaching does matter. Also, they were above the mean last year, they really were and I said it all year long up until we got the 14th pick that should have been like 7th.

Also, that untalented center they had last year just always did things to get them to win games they shouldn't. He isn't good, and isn't there.

Either way the Bucks might not have the best record in the NBA this year, and the Grizz beat the Nets, but won't be above the 10th worst team all year. Count on that.

My anger rises with every loss they have.

And now you just know Memphis will finish just outside the top 8 or something then bottom out the following year.

Sucks that there competence happened in the 1 year we had their pick. I think we really got hosed with that late Bjelica signing after he backed out of the Sixers to go back to Europe to instead go to the Kings. The starting lineup pieces seemed to kind of fall in place and make sense to maximize wins. He provided that spacing to let Willie rim run and Fox to get into the paint. Whats dumb is that it never made a ton of long term sense when you just spent the #2 overall pick on Bagley.

The Kings had a -1.2 net rating overall. Bjelica ended up with the highest net rating on the team at +2.7. Caulie Stein was 2nd at +1.2.

The Warriors are now a contender to influence the Memphis pick by finishing with a worse record than the Grizzlies.

No it's not. We get their pick this year if they make it out of the bottom 8.

It's out of the bottom 6 this year. 8 was last season.

Early returns look good for punting the Memphis pick another year. They have some company at the bottom of the West right now but all of SAC, GS and NO have significant players out with injury. Outside of the Knicks, the eastern conference cellar has played a little better than expected to start the year although Cleveland is truly horrid and Washington is a Beal injury away from being the worst team in basketball. Lots of basketball to go but it’s looking good to start for the Grizz to finish bottom 6.

Nah, you want them to finish 4th worst and end with the 6th pick this year. Have worst record next year and end with the 1st pick.

I don't think the GSW will improve. The guys out won't be back as the "rehab". Pelicans will start winning some games, zion will be back, they have enough picks to not need to tank. The Knicks will win a few games. They have lost some close ones and will beat some teams enough to get out of the bottom.

Cavs might be the worst team i've ever seen if you heard Scal say that too. But they are playing better to start for sure.

The Wizards are god awful and terrible on defense.

That leaves the Kings. They are trash, coach is trash, playing has been trash, but they are like 1 scrub player and 1 scrub coach removed from being the 9th seed last year. I think they win enough games to pass the Grizz.

Picks Currently =
6th * top 6 protected
24 (from bucks)
26 (ours)
