Guess who is ranked 78th in RPM?

Hint: 79th is Hayward, and this player shares the same first letter of his first name.

Celtics without 4 of their top 6 players? Still better than the Hawks.

Trae "Despite the Loss" Young could put up some fun stats though.

Yessir— rating out shockingly good on defense. He’s going to be a serious player for us long term.

He’s come a long way in a short time. Having the 3 ball start to fall reliably really opens things up for him as a player. His rebounding has gotten much better throughout the season as well. I don’t think the ceiling is super high for him due to his size limitations but the kid is going to have a long career in the NBA

His ceiling is PJ Tucker with better passing. Thats an awesome player, IMO.

It’s also the argument for not trading the late firsts the Celtics own today. Guys like Grant Williams who aren’t viewed as high upside guys but are damn solid role players are going to be there in that range. It’s Dannys job to identify them though

Grant really does have a lot of Marcus Smart in him, basketball iq wise. I've used PJ Tucker with a little Diaw as my comp since preseason, but Chuck Hayes with a 3 ball is another decent one. Either way, is a damn good player, I love him.

As a side, i know i can be tough on Jaylen, mostly for his effort. But RPM/PIPM/RAPTOR do not do him justice lol, 94/95/90.

He looked lost and undersized at the beginning of the season, didnt think he'd last very long here... he's turning out to be a much better player than I expcted.

Oddly enough that’s still quite the leap for Jaylen if I recall correctly. He was much lower ranked than that by advanced metrics a year ago. Makes you drool thinking about what Tatum can do next year. He could be knocking on the door of a top 10 player

You really ought to make this your sig at this point. :D

I tried and it wouldn't let me, I had put it in a spoiler too so i I'll work on making it smaller sometime.

It's really not my fault either that "Hello darkness my old friend" is a winner. It just wins.

Will be interesting to see if someone shows up who is questionable tomorrow. Questionable doesn't always mean out it's 50/50 but who knows with this team.

Yeah it is a jump for.him, and it's just me being impossible to please. I think Jaylen has been more of a top 50-60 guy this year, even if the impact stats don't show it.

As for Tatum, i agree that he will be pushing top 10 next year. I think he's already pushing top 15, but i wont argue with anyone if they say 20-25. He is an impact stats darling this year, is no lower than 11 in any of RPM/RAPM/PIPM/Raptor.

I have a feeling Kemba will play. They should rest Jaylen and Hayward for sure, IMO.

Honestly, I would argue with anyone who says he’s not top 15. He had a rough first 9 games that set the narrative and biased his stats down. Since the middle of November [41 games, 37 played], he’s averaging 23-7-3 on nearly 57% TS.
